Not at all Brian. I posted after Rd 1 but here was no need to review Rd 2 as yourself, Jimmy and AM summed up the game perfectly. I think we have shown some good signs but as expected by most (myself included) we are probably 3 – 4 goals behind the very best teams. Challenge for us is to try and bridge the gap.

I will endorse what Jimmy said on Sunday – SKOB are a seriously good team, De La have probably played 2 of the best 3 sides in the comp so far and Fisher has been at the club since late March but his debut was stalled due to issues with his clearance.

Aside from that I would like to hear more about the other clubs and other grades rather than me talking about my club all the time.
Your lower 19's got smashed by McKinnon yesterday i believe.

Wouldn't be too concerned, three under 19's is an amazing effort for any club to put out on the park. At that level, any win for your third selected boys against a first team is an absolute bonus.

Let's hope the VAFA get it right and put my clubs third under 19 team down in that division with them.

Our Third U19 team lost by 7 points to GE Saints but margin flattered them as GE had 3 times more scoring shots! Probably reflective that GE Saints 19s should not be in Div. 5.

Our Premier and Premier Reserve teams are undefeated which is probably a more accurate indication of the current strength of our U19s group. Plenty will get senior games as our 2s look a bit light on this year.

And agree with you Brian. Having your No 2 & 3 teams graded in Premier Reserve is ridiculous.

Thanks for the reply.
There would be a fair few Ormond boys in those 3. Just don't understand it. Were Mckinnon ok , one of their coaches told me half the team are no good.

Didn’t see the game but it is Div 5. Generally get a handful of Ormond juniors but the vast majority of our kids have always come from M’beena, Ashy, St Peters, East Malvern, C’field Bears and a few other YJFL clubs.

Feeling the love, lads.
I was firing shots (Speers) at old mate Milk Man who had a cheeky one with us after the Seniors and told us he was coming out for a few more only to cower home when the missus didn't approve. He actually played a pretty tidy game mopping up across the back end of the ground. JC "The Godfather" 15 showed he's still got it and Boris the Blade was a victim of some friendly fire courtesy of a kamikaze teammate.
OMs have to be in the conversation now. Performances like Saturday will hold them in good stead when the whips are cracking. Interesting to note that OMs are still playing the full court press as they were the year our boys saluted in D1 (2013). Hadn't really seen it played at this level in both Reserves and Seniors, but that they did on Saturday (again) and played it well.
Overall, far more cleaner and crisp with the footy. Scoring shots indicate they could use the ball a lot better in front of goal.
Dirty day for our boys, but more to do with OMs being on from the first bounce and never letting our boys back into the contest. 7 coast to coast goals is a telling stat at this level of footy. Unheard of and somewhat embarrassing. We lick our wounds and go again against Marcellin this week.

More than a little surprised at the Rovers form this year, Unca. By all accounts you outplayed the Monders in the final praccy which is generally the pivotal one. Better things to come?

Also, what's the go with one of your clubs legends and favourite sons joining the multitude of coaches at $KOB?
Ormond won that praccy AM

Apologies. On reflection the Rovers had a truck load of shots but kicked poorly which in the end was costly. As the Monders are a fair old outfit that performance should have indicated reasonable prospects for 2017 for the Boss James lads.

Clearly I pay too much attention to praccies as Scruffy's lads have let me down badly and frankly I place the full responsibility for that squarely on him.;)

Prince27 thought he had seen it all, Girls blown out on the Revolver dancefloor, A bloke bringing personal scales to weigh a gram bag, The list goes on!

This was until the Mighty Prince ventured down to Marcellin on the weekend, now I'm a huge fan of Elvis's hit Blue Suede Shoes and endorse abit of colour on the old feet, we can't all wear Jesus Sandles but who at the Mighty Bears told Luke Klasen it would be perfectly acceptable to wear Bright Orange Boots and not get a kick, it's absolutely disgraceful and the leadership group need to address the matter ASAP. His not Warwick Capper and he sure as hell ain't Toby Mitchell with all the Tattoos on his arms.

Now AM....this responsibility lies fairly and squarely with Mr Bedford and others who created the bandwagon . The Scruffster has remained level headed and measured in all commentary regarding the Grammarians in 2017....OH are the team to beat and the greatest footballer from CGS the Juddster has confirmed that his able siblings will attend as a result !!

AM on another matter I pondered if AM actually was short for Ashley and Martin...the scrufftop is looking a little lean...covering the whole scone from a tussock in the nape is proving tougher each year.....I was hoping to add a little extra at a reasonable rate....not quite Trump like as his budget is a little more forgiving .....would appreciate the heads up on any Sales or upcoming discounts...

Aha.....now I commented on this in the practice matches.....did not get a meaningful touch against Grammarians in the practice match either with only influence on the game being that of a distracting reflection.....I agree if your going to stand out.....do it for good not embarrassment

We did have 8 out that played the next week. Ashley and Martin, not bad Scruff.

Matters follicle is one of the great many topics outside my sphere of knowledge, Scruffy.

The best I can do is suggest you refer your question to the forum oracle who may be prepared to take time away from doing the odds for Maplebet to offer guidance at this distressing time.

Are we likely to see an improved performance from your lads at Glen Huntly oval this Saturday? Be assured that Mr Bedford and I remain on the bandwagon as we speak.

I believe Maplebet has gone under.

My Tips

Caulfield
Old Mentone
Old Haileybury (Raging Flag Favs)
Hampton
Old Geelong

(with Old Mentone and OH the only Certainties)

Nice to see you two getting on so well after a somewhat shaky start.:)

Well considering they cost our N#4 the Comp B and F last year ....but we are very forgiving down at GlenHuntley....even let them use the ground last year ...although they buggered the scoreboard from memory.....but I don't want to get him started

(Ps the winner was a worthy one no disrespect)
