Great wins at GE this weekend as we try to stave off relegation. Seniors and reserves beat Marcellin well which moved them into 6th spot. Good win by our undefeated ladies who beat second side Monash and the thirds had a walkover. Old Ivanhoe couldn't field. Hard work in C grade.

Sorry about that PS. Injuries and travel saw our 2’s take 5 players from the 3rds, who have been struggling with numbers all year, even though we have 55 registered 3rds players.

0 and 13, % of sub 50. Coach carried on like an absolute goose yesterday by all reports to, not for the first time either.
Would imagine he won’t last the year out, massive gap between Div 1 and C grade evident by Oakleigh last year and Prahran this year.

Heard exactly that as well , was there also a physical altercation as well
It's been a disappointing grade with the top 4 so far ahead , compared to PB which will go right to the wire

Anyone who doesn't like Marto is a flog, one of the all-time great humans.
Would he go back to Hampton ?
No physical altercation, #38 was carrying on like a goose all day trying to hit players behind the ball, cheap shots and non stop chatter during and after the game.
Prahran coach got heated after the game and had a few words to a few people, situation was calmed down and no dramas thanks to a few people from both clubs. He had to be reminded gently or not so gently, he was a football coach not a supporter.
As stated, be shocked if the coach survives the year with a 0-13 record and becoming unhinged by the week.
4th vs 5th this week is the last chance to keep it interesting.
PEGS are 8-0 vs 6th to 10th, however 0-5 vs top 4. Win this week and 1 game off finals and finally a win vs the top 4.
Lose and then that’s the 4 set with 4 games to play.

Just enjoyed the company of a Combine volunteer for a couple of hours , good people in all clubs and sometimes you have to move on
Nepotism. Missing for a couple of months. Self proclaimed expert on everything SFL and VAFA. GE hater and claimed to be Ormond but pretty sure he wasn't

It was Glen Eira combined old boys' day on Saturday. All the different combine teams were represented. There was Lots of amber fluid sold.
Marcellin being the archrivals after dobbing Glen Eira in last year about outside drinking. However, the tensions between the two clubs have gone down as the two presidents have got together. And the Marcellin president giving the Glen Eira team a slab after the game at Marcellin earlier this year which Glen Eira won by a couple of points in the torrential rain.
It Looked somewhat bleak for Glen Eira when Marcellin kicked the first two goals of the game into the wind in the first quarter. Glen Eira are notoriously slow starters.
But by the third quarter, the Glen Eira players were doing party tricks. 10 goals to 1. One of the young Glen Eira chaps fend off and left footed goals had to be seen to be believed. The cheers from the Combine old boys got louder and louder, the better their team played.
All the Combine old boys, who had been appropriately only drinking inside under VAFA rules, came onto the ground to listen to Guy Martin's three-quarter time speech. Even Johnny Edgar was there post signing on with SNFL East Brighton.
It all Kicked on till the wee hours of the morning. Great to see the Combine looking after its heritage members and supporters.
FWIW looks like the Eagles have done it again to hang on to Prem C for another season. Nodders in real dangerous territory, with the game against Parkside at Parky in 2 weeks a huge one.
