I said to Mortlock he was correct with his cryptic clue of Dunne.
Brendan? Hard to believe if that’s your whisper. He’s only been with OP for two minutes and re-signed for 2026. Some might say duplicity if true. It is the tack-togethers where propriety is negotiable, so…….

Still, not having it.

Green can sandwiches for dinner last night AM? Good lesson for younger posters, never drink and post, only leads to regret.

Huh?

I thought you might have offered Brendan Dunne and the Old Peninsula Football Club an apology for casting aspersions on Brendan's character. Suggesting he would commit to the Pirates in 2026 and then move to a rival at this time of the year is unsavoury. Still salty over Nathan Jones? Or is there now no standard that you are willing to walk by?

Can confirm Brett Dunne has joined the Gryphs as the new senior coach, joining from Deavon Meadows in the mpfnl. Anyone have any intel on the type of coach he is? Seems to be very experienced in local footy which will hopefully be a good thing for the Gryphs

You need not have posted more than “huh” to show your confusion.

You entirely miss the tenor. Then create your own narrative. And weave in a tenuous and unrelated matter—Trump-like befuddlement.

Perhaps you are still a little raw about your club's previous poor behaviour, which would explain your sensitivity. That might give even you a clue as to who my little escapade was directed toward.

I’m sure there are some good people at the tack-togethers. But with tetchy cheerleaders like you, it’s little wonder Marto couldn’t wait to exit.:fearscream:

I don't think he's from the combine

Marto left for Marto it had nothing to do with the quality of the club.

As for how people at our club are feeling? We are incredibly proud of what we've built since the merger. By any measure, executing a strategic plan to move from fighting for survival (in some ways due to the behaviour of other clubs..
) to thriving is a massive success.

The way you and others carry on is so far removed from the spirit of the VAFA. (And is so juvenile too fwiw... Tactogethers. Grow up)

What makes it worse is that most are supporters of a district club, not the elitist old boys’ clubs people usually expect that behavior from. (Who have been supportive tbf)

Bloated puerile drivel.
The topic of your original post was Brendan Dunne from Old Peninsula Football Club.
The glaring omission from the above post is Brendan Dunne from Old Peninsula Football Club.
But I missed the tenor?

It's easy to comprehend why social media was awash with schadenfraude resultant from Ormond's failure in 2025. People under 50 do not associate "Ormond" with "good club", the Carlton of the VAFA, and you are Jack Elliott. Or maybe you are just Nepo's Dad.

Listen sport , Ormond has nothing to do with this
ps Ormond won a flag in 18

We are both.

Hence the name.

Nepo, GI, AM.

You're pretty reasonable these days, my only gripe is the combine reference as it's similarly juvenile as the tactogethers.

Always called it the combine as many merged clubs are and some great people came from Monash Gryhs
Please don't associate Nepo or GI with Ormond and really have no idea who AM is

Dont all 3 identify as Ormond?
If you believe Nepo your not as smart as i thought , GI seemed to have a foot in both camps , the former supercoach wanted to meet him . AM who knows , other people do dislike the combine the same as they do Ormond

For balance Jimmy many of us admire what Glen Eira have done. I have absolute respect to those who have kept the various club entities alive when many other clubs have simply vanished. I knew many St.Kilda CBC lads back in the day and I’m sure it means a lot to the past players that they still have a club to support. I’m sure those who represented the other entities feel the same. A good effort to prosper in an area that is awash with clubs, particularly when efforts to start up juniors was scuttled. FWIW a number of lads from my club have found their way to Packer over the years and speak highly of the club.

What year did you finish at De La Jimmy?

I know many CBC former players footy and cricket

In the 70s cisco. I’m no spring chicken! The ACC landscape has changed significantly since I finished school. Many of the schools I played sport against have disappeared, been absorbed by bigger schools or re-badged as something else. For reasons of geography Catholics in my part of the world were mainly split between De La and St. Kilda CBC. The more well-heeled went to Xavier or St Kevins.

And Melbourne High where they allowed me a year was just a powerhouse , probably don't even play aussie rules anymore
