In the 70s cisco. I’m no spring chicken! The ACC landscape has changed significantly since I finished school. Many of the schools I played sport against have disappeared, been absorbed by bigger schools or re-badged as something else. For reasons of geography Catholics in my part of the world were mainly split between De La and St. Kilda CBC. The more well-heeled went to Xavier or St Kevins.

Thanks mate I finished in 1983. I went to CBC St Kilda. We had many close football and cricket matches against You Guys!! Hope You are well!!

The Ormond senior men's team has secured 14 premierships, 9 of them in the Premier division. So long as your arse points to the ground, your club will never come close to that.

I assume your alma mater was Peninsula Grammar. Your posts wouldn’t instil confidence in anyone about the educational standards there, old man. But I do know from an excellent past BF poster from your club that you aren’t representative.

As for how people at our club are feeling? We are incredibly proud of what we've built since the merger. By any measure, executing a strategic plan to move from fighting for survival (in some ways due to the behaviour of other clubs..
) to thriving is a massive success.

The way you and others carry on is so far removed from the spirit of the VAFA. (And is so juvenile too fwiw... Tactogethers. Grow up)

What makes it worse is that most are supporters of a district club, not the elitist old boys’ clubs people usually expect that behavior from. (Who have been supportive tbf)

If I may say so, it's not good practice to conflate the comments of any given poster with a club position, unless it is a clearly club-sanctioned view. As for me, I have nothing to do with the Ormond these days and haven’t for some time. My views are mine and mine alone. And combining posters that claim to be from the club is poor form, too.

You may baulk at the term, but your club is tack-togethers by history. If that’s the worst thing that’s said about your club, you have little to complain about. Miss the ‘rosejam’ sense of humour.

Right, so if I am to understand you correctly, your post about Brendan Dunne was not actually about Brendan Dunne at all, even though you specifically mention Brendan Dunne.
Forum readers ought to have immediately recognised that slandering Brendan was simply collateral damage in your ill considered and ongoing vendetta against Glen Eira/Old McKinnon. Prior lurking informs me that the basis of your vendetta is that Glen Eira had the temerity to breach the Ormond Football Club exclusion zone. Somewhat gauche of them as the whole of South East Melbourne is well aware that your club holds pre-emptive rights over every man woman and child within it. Just how far would you and your club go to exercise those pre-emptive rights? Is there any depth you would not lower yourselves to?

I was responding to AM slagging off Brendan Dunne, which he now admits was a low brow offensive segue to his actual intention. Sounds like AM did immeasurable improvements to Ormond by leaving it. You knew he was an Ormond person and you ducked for cover. You would have been better off owning it.

You don't have to know him personally to understand which club he is or was affiliated with, it sticks out like dogs balls. Like I said, I think Ormond is better off with him out of the door, bloke is clearly cancer.

BTW Bedders announced he passed his committee baton on to the new generation several years ago. I mention that only to bring you up to speed with your old club and is in no way meant to detract from his stellar service to his club.
