Exactly, so it couldn't be any of the clubs named as being audited in 2017. But it might relate to one of the unnamed clubs being audited for 2018, which won't be released until Feb.

The cricket club one has been known all year . The other one I keep hearing is their recruit from Adelaide .it was a pretty gutsy call by Gus Macleod on Twitter to state what he did . Would he just throw a rumour out there or does he actually know something. Easy to bag him After reading the efl statement which some quickly did . As he said the efl statement said 2017 not 2018 . The rumours are about 2018 not 2017. A very nicely worded statement by the efl to throw everyone off . If it’s true throw the book at them and I keep
hearing it is . Would say exactly the say the same if it was my club .
Hope the efl have the guts to do something about it because it’s pure arrogance if any club does it.

Personally think people are missing a trick within the EFL release, to busy focussing on the 2017 v 2018 aspect. As per the release in 2017, 4 clubs were audited all coming from different divisions in 2016. To me I interpret that as there will again be 4 clubs audited for the 2018 season each from a different division. Why would Vermont be sole audited top grade club in both 2017 & 2018? Been cleared in 2017, I don't think they will face it again in 2018 & the statement confirms this.

While Gus may have heard the same as us, his original statement is already false. We won't be hearing anything in the short term in regards to Vermont having salary cap issues. The statement reads there are no current or pending investigations in relation to the Vermont Football Club or any of the audited club. Pretty straight forward to me.

Sorry bob . I’m hearing this from people who are filthy of what’s gone on and aren’t the type to be just rumour spreading

What was the club

You seem to have an eye for social media perhaps check the Linkedin profile.

Defend your club Damo, but throw away lines such as Also every club in div 1 would have the paper shredder going, is just as unfounded as the original post that has started things in the last 24 hours. No need to try & drag other premier clubs into this Cr@p.

Not sure the resources allow for more than we currently get Rich. Quite a few resources being spent on the other side of town, with investigations going beyond anything seen to this point.

All here Cliff.

They must have a better handle on the points for 2019, seemed to be a suprise or two in 2018.

Does Max Warren attract an extra point for being registered at Balwyn in 2018? 5pts VFL plus 1pt = 6pts.
Article mentions only 5pts. Interesting discussion point.

Must also be a story behind Jordan Walker sitting only on 3 points.
I'm sure they are correct... clubs do look these days.

With all that said they played the GF at 47 so it will be tight again. Can be difficult to manage when all players are available.

Another Box Hill Hawk, Nick Evans to South Croydon. Points cap must be getting very tight if he is there every week and not as an aligned player.

Come on Richie 'every player' & then name one?

Nick played as a 5 in the 2018 GF. Less a point for his 2018 games with the Dogs isn't 3, but I feel you are well aware of that you cheeky bugger .

Sorry to hear O won't be taking on the 2s again. Hopefully might mean we get to see him & Graeme a little more at the Sharks.

Nothing gets past you Bob;) Thought I would try and slide one past you...

In all seriousness with players dropping a point does help other players coming in but yep they will be very tight each week

All good Richie.

The Dogs manage their list as well as any. Alway very envious when you have a look at the names of some of the guys running around in the earlier game. Certainly have put themselves in contention again during the off-season.

Richie, you got a mention on SEN the other day. Kevin Bartlett said if you had been willing to put in the required effort, with the skills you had, you would have been a Champion.
In fact he said if you had applied yourself, he'd still be coaching! ;)

Interesting to see Hurstbridge FC are going to pay their U19's but the NFL said these payments will be recorded in the senior club salary cap.How many EFL clubs are paying their U19's and if they are will this apply to EFL clubs to.And EFL U19's,will be they be graded season 2019 remembering the issues with D1 U19's last season.

We aren't paying our 19s.

It has to be in the Salary Cap. Numerous clubs including the top sides will play kids out of the 19s in the senior side within a season. If this was not included the system would see numerous clubs spending crazy of the best 19s including those straight from TAC that are not regular VFL players.

I would think most would agree that U19's is a difficult age group for some clubs and the EFL to get a team on the park.I am quite happy with clubs offering free membership, but have reservations about player payments.

I was the best thing to come out of SA at the time Cliff. Not many people will remember but i did kick 3 goals in my very first game with the tigers. .....................................It then did very quickly go downhill from there . In fact I only played another 3 games. Wasn't the best looking chap going around either:p
