Let’s hope the bus is carrying flags 80 and 81 like last years bus. The driver was really nice and friendly. I saw him recently at the Orrong. Perhaps a convert??
Hipp.
Saw the gent at the Geebung last night, Hipp. Didn't mention your purported meeting. Although, come to think of it, he did reference some shady looking character sniffing about. That you?

An upright cit is my man and has a special dislike for those who don't share those values.

Rumour circulating yesterday is that Satts already has an iron or two in the fire. Better out of the environment he's endured recently. Onward and upward for the little man.

Go AFL/SKOB!

Did I just say that.:weary:

Anyone else heard around the traps that Tom Boyd might find his way to a Premier club next year?

Not sure about points, or what opportunities he is chasing, but I'd suspect that a big driver for Tom Boyd in selecting a club would be cultural fit and relationship with the coach. Not sure who leads the race in that space, but anyone without a senior coach is probably behind already.

Still would like to know why he would leave his current club, which is his junior club. In interviews he appears to be very happy there.

The Tom boyd post sounds like a bad rumour. I see Mav Weller is heading to Uni Blues after listening to him on SEN with Andy Maher.

Far from a bad rumour. More likely to happen than not and will not be one of the usual suspects if and when

Haven’t heard the Boyd one. Wouldn’t surprise though as he would be looking to set himself up for life after football.

Have heard that 2 very well performed brothers will be leaving a cashed up EFL club to play with their newly promoted old boys team in Premier next year. And the club is not Old Scotch!

The Gilchrist brothers have been threatening to come back to CGS for years, I'll believe it when I see it. Interestingly that club and it's school are being very aggressive in the market place, offering a kid in year 7 a full scholarship for footy as he's a gun but as part of the deal his VFL listed brother has to leave his current VAFA club and nominate CGS as his second club for the duration of his little brothers scholarship.

Was apparently announced at the Balwyn B&F last week. Like you I will believe it when I see it but slightly better than unsubstantiated rumour. Balwyn pretty good at making offers that are too good to refuse!

Roger that on the Gilchrist boys. If they are playing Rd 1, I’ll believe it.

As for Big Tom, I remember hearing or reading somewhere he was targeted across the fence by drinking fans. So maybe he wants to play somewhere without the Yobos?

As for CGS I think you’ll find they are recruiting scholarship kids no more than other APS power houses.

All good points except for the last one. CGS have ramped up their scholarships big time. Have been an under performing sporting school and principle hell bent on success thus spending plenty on scholarships.

Wouldn't happen to be a SKOB player now required to commit to CGS by any chance?
