Premiership teams are built on a solid foundation. I believe these players are the most likely to form our next premiership foundation:

Fasolo: 25 years
De Goey: 21
Grundy: 23
Elliott: 25
Treloar: 24
Langdon: 23
Scharenberg: 21
Adams: 23
Aish: 21
Brown: 19
Crisp: 23
Daicos: 18
Broomhead: 23
Moore: 21
Hoskin-Elliot: 23
McLarty: 19
Maynard: 20
Howe: 27

The oldest guy on this list is Howe at 27. The list as a whole hits it's peak in 2-3 years. The foundations have been created, we just need the courage now to see this through. IMO, we must aim for 2020 onwards as our window and as such, all selection and recruitment decisions must be based on that. No more mature recruits until we are about to hit our peak. Go to the draft Collingwood and put anyone not on this list on the trade table. A premiership awaits.
So you want to trade Pendlebury? I'm out.

Any player not in our next premiership window should be open to trade.
This feels like one of those moments that we should remind you of when you inevitably go into "Bizarro Jmac" mode

How about you discuss the topic instead of getting personal?

It's kind of hard not to address the personal aspect when you label the topic "opinion". But I'll try anyway. I don't think we should trade players like Pendlebury away now, based on an arbitrary period that the OP decided is the only time that we can win the premiership.

Opinion means get personal does it?

......ok

We need a change in head coach before we win a flag.

Opinion enough for you knucklehead?
Try stating your opinion without insults, it's not hard.

Knucklehead is a term of endearment.

Friendly banter, sorry if I offended you.
Cool, we are mates now. Come on down to the Mona Castle in Footscray tomorrow night and I'll buy you a beer.

You are my favourite poster, we are one and the same. Collingwood through and through. The majority on here actually don't realise but they are Carlton supporters.

In any case I think you're wrong, if we can get some better ball use...and I'm thinking that will come more naturally now the coach isn't under the pump... we should be pushing next year.

Kirby has it laid at his feet if he wants it.

His condition when he returns for preseason will tell us all we need to know about him.

I'm actually nervous about this. Kirby really does need to come back in good shape, preferably better shape if thats possible, to prove he really wants this career. I hope he is being mentored and given support while on his break.

Total agreement Vicky he has what we want but does he want to earn his stripes?

Will say a lot about our system and ability to nurture players through.
I wonder if the recent Harry, Krakouer and Davis comments will have any impact act on him.

God knows we need him to come on as we have been needing a player like he has potential to be for years.

I've been hearing this schtick for the last 4 years.
