Other countries have people dropping like flies.

I'm all for opening up, but people have to have had a chance to get vaccinated. People still haven't had that chance and that's purely on the federal government. We all did hard yards in 2020 to give us time to get vaccinated and Scotty Morrison and his mates wasted it. That's who you should be focusing your anger on.
Who hasn't had the opportunity to be vaccinated?

Who hasn't had the opportunity to be vaccinated?
under 12's; some under 15s (accessibility, booking, dependence of family for transport
some disabled who also have significant high needs (basically needing sedation to get vaccinated) - small but complex number
some who have health conditions where they have been given bad advice (or didn't understand the advice) that they could not have the vaccine (I had one patient - did not get covid - but when I was asking why not vaccinated, said "the doctor at the hospital told me not to" but the notes clearly state "tried to convince patient to get vaccine but in the end patient elected not to". THis ype of communication issue would be increasingly prevalent in non english speaking backgrounds as well.

Is this you?
No, I read the post differently. I read it as (the risks from) overseas virus are no different from (the risks from) Australian virus and that it would be racist to state that (the risks from) overseas virus exceed (the risks from) Australian virus

Certainly I can't see any reason to restrict travel into Melbourne and Sydney now, nor any real benefit to quarantine, and I'm willing to take at face value the NSW statements re home quarantine trial being too costly/ buggy to work and whether the dollars going into it would make significant difference in the post 80% double jab world.

What’s the legal position with disabled people as you described? Can doctors or guardians give consent or must they go to court? Is it a case-by-case situation? Has this been done all along or are they still to start? I thought they were in the top priority group.

The rollout to the disabled has been a complete balls up by the Feds (yeah I'm surprised too ;)) worse than the Aged Care rollout where they wouldn't organise for staff to be vaccinated at the same time as residents (I'm sorry we're only contracted to give it to the residents staff have to organise their own).

The consent would be from their guardian if patient could not consent; what I am describing is more known needlephobia or inability to understand reason, families want them vaccinated but only way would be to sedate them (when young kids it is easier to force but adults and big kids this is hard)

Didn’t mean to convey forcing vaccination against family wishes

We have a winner, yes sex on premises venues must continue to stay closed after 80%DD even though the road map had them opening.
Well you could probably make a case for that to be fair.

Whereas in the Socialist Democratic Republic of Victoria, the Indy hookers are open for business but you can’t get your hair cut.

Kidding, right?
The health experts disagree because they're only accountable for their opinion on a single aspect of societal health.

We have small businesses bankrupted, kids disengaged from school, kids suffering from mental health issues, and families separated by state and international borders.

That's a huge price to pay for saving a few thousand lives.

I value personal choice over government protection. Your mileage may differ.
Watch this space.

Just googled this, NSW health website says reopening tomorrow.

now need to delete my search history, don’t want to have to explain to the Mrs my reason for searching was to debunk false information given by a random on a football forum to push a false agenda that our premier is unduly influenced by his religion.

Apparently there is at least one thing that Perrotet wont be bringing forward and is actually pushing back on the road map, anyone want to guess what it is?
And to answer your question, Regional travel, so they can catch up on metro vaccination rates,
Real ‘let it rip’ type stuff

The catholic faith have historically turned a blind eye to where you point Percy unless it's two consenting men I don't you've done much debunking at all.
