Assuming funding is otherwise unavailable, a staggered approach the redistributes funding from policing into initiatives that improve peoples lives and therefore makes them less likely to offend is sensible.

At least down here in Victoria we are.
Plenty of providers of covid passports in the UK - for between GBP220 and GBP500, supply them your details and medicare number equivalent, their insiders in the NHS will generate a genuine certificate and update the database so that your passport app works. Apparently some unvaxxed media celebrities have used this to get into events etc.

Its probably hard to reopen international tourism if you make people spend 2 weeks in quarantine... but it will be interesting to note that vaccinated foreigners will be able to wander the streets and go to pubs while unvaccinated NSW'ers cannot.
Perhaps another way to push people to hurry the * up and get vaccinated.

What about forgeries?
As an aside if you are not a legal resident, and been stuck here due to coronavirus, if the govt don’t extend visas again, and you happen to be unvaccinated. Under current travel protocols they can’t actually deport you.
