Falchoon

The guy ranking with the ratings will invariably be favoured by said ratings ;)

51 Brand
9 Granger
13 Billups
8 Richardson
52 Williams (Mo)
95 Biedrins
34 Allen
100 Love

Strengths - 3's/TO/FT%

4 bombers in Allen, Richardson, Granger and Billups, only Mo Williams is a major TO threat and bar Biedrins and Richardson everyone else should shoot 80% FT

Weaknesses - Rebounds

Only 2 proven rebounders, other major weakness is ranks 1st in 3 categories but doesn't have another category inside the top 6.

Rank 3

AndSmithMustGetRedCarded

12 Smith
5 Davis
37 Jamison
44 Bynum
23 Jackson
112 Horford
66 Ilgauskas
117 Ford

Strengths - Rebounds/Blocks

5 strong rebounders, 3 strong shotblockers

Weaknesses - Points/3's/FG%FT% (ie getting the ball in the basket)

3 "good" scorers, but 4 under a 15 average, 3 good 3 pointers but 5 who rarely hit, Davis, Jackson and Jamison bring the Fg% down as the 3 biggest volume shooters. FT aren't miles off the pace at 76% against an average 79%.

Rank 11

Knowledge

94 Howard
29 Bosh
24 Pierce
97 Miller A
63 Miller M
68 McGrady
80 Murphy
78 Hinrich

Strengths - FG%

McGrady and Hinrich are well covered by Howard

Weaknesses blocks/TO/FT%

any team with Howard is going to struggle with the FT%, Knowledge nearly had it back to being competitive until the McGrady pick, both should be better than they are though, McGrady is kidding himself at 68%. Solid turnovers across the board with only Murphy under 2 a game and only Howard is a blocker of note.

Rank 10

White Rhino

11 Butler
7 Marion
42 West
56 Durant
84 Bogut
58 Okur
55 Terry
14 Ginobli

*This team projects quite easily as no.1 with Ginobli in the line up and without Ginobli 12th, if I halve Ginobli's stats he comes in at 7th, so a Jekyll and Hyde season coming up.

Major Strengths TO/FT%

4 good volume 85%+ FT shooters and Durant and Butler as the ony turnoverers

Major weakness is assists

Butler is no.1 in assists, nuff said

Thanks for the review. Interesting to hear how much of a difference Manu could make... then again, I guess he would be the guy to tip me over the edge in at least 3s and stls. Still surprised that Marion, Butler, West and Durant aren't enough to get me over the line in the later cat - perhaps there's a few gaps I can fill with my later picks.

with the first 7 picks I had you ranked 3rd

with steals/FT%/TO as strengths

Weaknesses 3's/assists

Always enjoy reading a draft review...good stuff Falchoon.

Hans Moleman
Strengths - Turnovers

Main strength is he's above average in 6 categories without necessarily dominating any, very even team and all very safe with the ball.
Looks like we've got completely opposite drafting strategies - it's probably become obvious that I prefer drafting a balanced team. On the other hand, you've loaded up on a few cats during the draft (3's, ft%), which I'm a bit hesitant to do due to position concerns. Each strategy has it's merits I guess.

Weaknesses - 3's / steals

3 guys won't hit a 3 all season
Almost not worth mentioning, but I wouldn't be suprised if Aldridge hits 5-10 threes this season.

I'm running each strategy, one in expansion, one in premier ;)

idk falchoon i think my rebound category is strong.

you're not off the pace. Smithy is well out in front though. Based purely on last years stats.
