Open for business, going the same team name
Norwegian Vikings so might get Man City new signing Norwegian Haaland, over 10 mil though😢might have to go with a cheaper token Norwegian in Odegaard, Arsenal have a good fixture early, Not sure why I got Norwegian in my team name, it just sounds better than Vikings

Hey lads. Have been roped into playing FPL this year at work.
Play supercoach every year so have fantasy experience but have no interest In watching EPL really and just want to give the local lads a run for their money. And it's a cash league so there is 500 incentives to win it.
Any tips for a rookie?
Thanks in advance.

Looks like an auto-picked team.

I think you're in the wrong place for FPL. This forum isn't active on EPL.
I suggest you follow some YouTube experts.
Have a look at their teams, then pick common players for yours.
Ones I recommend.

Yep; this thread is for EPL Dream Team which is run by Vapormedia

For the offical EPL fantasy, you can also post in the fantasy thread in a different forum for some guidance - Games - FPL 22/23

As I said, I know very little about all this. Thanks for guidance, I will check these links out.
Cheers

Goalies are average, but hopefully I can swap them around based on draw and get a decent score and some cash between them. Might field Sancho over Botman, not sure yet.

Edit: Scamacca is apparently not playing. Maybe Rashford comes in.
And Sancho has a virus. I'm presuming Covid.

Scamacca is injured too. Grab Rashford if he starts. United play before Hammers.

Best to grab a GK for a loop. Trott of WHU is the guy. Looping a DEF might leave pts on the bench if you change formation.
Patterson will be a good, cheap DEF option to flip for a profit later.

No Pool or City is dangerous. Many will captain them as well, so you'll be twice worse off if they do well.

Sterling will likely play up front, so who know if and where Havertz will start.

Was Mahrez listed as a forward last season? If so, it makes him good value as a mid.
Possible, and yes, he's a fair pick if he starts this GW.
He belts weak teams, so will likely get next week's juicy home game vs BOU.

Key passes may also have been reduced to 0.5 pts this season, so KDB will be slightly less attractive, but not by much. 0-2 pts a game.

Plays for Everton. How is he going to make money?

He's a wing-back, though, so that's something. Might have a score involvement at some point. Pity he plays for Everton.
At 3.5m, he doesn't have a high BE. Could easily get a decent profit just by racking up misc pts like tackles and blocks.
Then there's that chance of a lucky CS and goal involvement.

Remember, Toffees beat CHE 1-0 in this fixture, late last season (saved them from relegation), so anything's possible.

Zero downside @ 3.5m, some upside. One less starting spot to worry about when planning lineups.
If he goes negative, he won't come on, but if he gets something, will auto-sub for an MIA.
