Not necessarily, Old H U/19’s made light work of one of our 19’s (2nd one I think) teams but their reserves aren’t much chop(sorry OH). Their 19’s are clearly better than their Res team.
Correct. Under 19s not selected in the seniors or U19 team make up the majority of Caulfields reserves each week.

Smart decision IMO, their 19’s are the future. I though this weeks podcast was one of the best Jono Nash is a real leader of young men.

Old Brighton too strong for Uni Blacks
Old Scotch by plenty over Caulfield
Uni Blues just over OMs, but no certainty
Old Xavs to defeat Old Haileybury, but wouldn't surprise if it goes the other way
SKOBs just over Collegians in a ripper of a game

Good luck

Yawn. Not sure we needed 45 minutes of the trials and tribulations of the reserves team of the bottom club in A Section. Highlight something that is well managed and successful not a shambles

With OM's losing and OH winning, OH live to fight another day. OX's disastrous season going from bad to worse.

Wonder when the last time was that OH beat OX before today?

Congratulations on the win Mike, your boys just too good in a defensive slog fest!

Looking forward to the finals, can OH pull off a win next week and send OM’s down the trap door?

Yes, the pressure was up especially very early on in the game and it didn't slip a lot during the day. It was a wonderful game of VAFA football.

Colls V OS this sat is going to be an absolute "cracker". The Trott is in perfect "nic".... Come one, come all...
Here's hoping we don't put the cue in the rack for this game having sewn up the top spot.

Not looking at a reverse of what happened in 2014, where we played OS in the final round where they rested half their side (they had already secured 3rd spot, and we needed to beat them in the final round to win to get 4th). We thumped them and got in, and then played them again in the first round and won somewhat unexpectedly when they had their full side back in.

You don't flirt with form.

In the 2 consecutive games back then, against OS, Shura Taft (what star) kicked 15 goals.....Certainly sent a message..

It'll cop some rain today and tomorrow, but the forecast is looking great for the weekend with a nice sunny mid teens day forecast for Saturday. I'd expect there to be a good size crowd there too, there was plenty of Collegians faithful at the TH King Oval on the weekend.

Spot on Penski, I don't think there will be any flirtation with resting players this week whatsoever. I know that Michie and Cassidy are aiming to be back into the side for this week, but we may lose Orgill to VFL duties with Footscray. Old Scotch are a very hard side to break down and I suspect they will be up for a good battle this weekend against us, I know earlier in the season we didn't really put them away until very late on in the last quarter.

When was the last time we had a REAL downpour of rain?? ....pretty dry down there as of the 29/8

I notice that old mate Michael Fitzgerald has gone from a much feted wordsmith to a non-author on the OX website.

Thank goodness the magnificent Benchwarmer from Old Brighton still does his weekly report Douglas, for them.
