They have a history of signing old (age) St Kilda players. Hasn't got any kids looking for a school to go to does he?
I recall seeing Gilbert at the supermarket last year early on a Saturday morning with his wife, the kids didn't look like they were anywhere near school age just yet, let alone high school age!

They’re all scholarship kids, zero interest in the old boys apparently.
That doesn't shock but it's sad if true.

As I have said, Wesley had a few kids on scholarships (not anywhere near as many as Caulfield though) back when the school won the APS flag in 2010 and many of these boys ended up with senior flags at Collegians, plus representing the Big V and being long time Collegians players. It's a shame Caulfield can't translate their school success to success for their old boy side.

I’m happy they can’t, I hate the scholarship model, it’s unfair for fee paying parents.

First day for transfers yesterday

Looks like in addition to Hayes, Capra, Macula, Carr and Harper all retiring, it looks like Blues have lost both Batarilo brothers, Bouffler, Ingleton and Quinn. That is fairly sizeable chunk of their senior playing contingent from 2022 right there.

Also, surprising to see Anthony Zimmerman from Old Brighton has gone to St Kilda City. That is a massive loss for them and I'd suspect he will be one of the best players in that competition.

Those with Boarding Houses add another dimension to the "Scholarship model". Dont have to rely on Metro boys anymore.
My school has a "scout" in Albury Wodonga region, sourcing talent....has worked a treat in 2021 and 22.

I like Wesley so don’t mind it, they’ve been downtrodden for way too long.
Schools like Bedfords and Flat Footy favourite one De La Salle were once pretty strong, but they lose a heap, as do St Bede’s, Mazenod and the like.

H Goddard finished as well.

What surprises me with the 3 you mentioned Mr P, is that they are "all boy" schools...I thought they would have the numbers etc..clearly not.
Maybe their football numbers are down due to Basketball and Soccer...I dont know. What I do know, is that it is imperative to have a healthy, vibrant connection between the School and their respective Ammo Club. If I have this wrong, tell me..
