I think there is a decent analogue between us getting Gunston and us getting Day. Look how solidly Gunston did going back to Hawthorn after people here wrote him off. Day just needs a solid two to three month run of it and I reckon he will end up averaging more than a goal a game and 4 to 5 marks a game. He just needs to get up to speed with our way of playing.

He actually did a decent job on McGovern two weeks ago, who only had one intercept mark for the game.

We don't have better tall alternatives IMO anyway. We can't have Gallop and Morris as two of our three tall forwards in big games, that's just too lean and inexperienced IMO (body wise and mentally). Next year might be a different story with an extra years development into them.

So your angst is based on two occasions where Queensland members - the largest cohort of members where the team is based - were thanked for traveling to Melbourne. Choosing to ignore all of the Vic engagement that goes on and times when our Vic fans have been praised for showing up and supporting the team. Such an odd take.

I find it strange considering most in Attendance were Victorian Members also I'm yet to hear them thank the Victorian Members I'M more pissed off there is no family day to thank Victorian members

He simply didn’t like our game style/what was being asked of him and couldn’t run out games. He’s a leading forward/third tall who doesn’t take a defender and doesn’t put effort into opponents - an infinitely worse version of a young Hippy. Hawks can work with that, he couldn’t work with us.

We didn’t give him a fair chance to succeed. If he gave us a second chance we could make it work.

Unless they know the game is going to sell heavily they release very few reserved seats. It's mostly all GA and then if close to game day they realise it's going to be fuller than expected they simply sell more GA tickets and open more GA bays to fit them all in.

For example I've bought GA tickets to lots of games at the G. Sometimes enough people are there that the top tier at the city end is open. Other times there's not enough people for that and only the top tier at the Punt Road end is open. Which I'm worried will be the case on Saturday cos then I'll have to sit above the Richmond cheer squad

Didn't the Lions go out to the Fitzroy ground first before flying home after the GF win.
