I took a look at the premiership odds at TAB Sportsbet today. Essendon opened up around $2.60 and are now in to $2.15. The next best is Melbourne at $9 and Carlton at $10. That is remarkable that punters would take such short odds for an event held late next September when there has been no exposed form. Certainly they deserve to be hot favourites but they can keep their $2.15.

I agree its a bit like trying to run a book on this years melbourne cup 'hello in jan'but it will give the fools false confidence.
