I would love to have a 'GC/GWS' mode, where you create your own team from scratch. Interview out-of-contract players to try and coax them to join your squad (e.g. offer them captaincy), bring players out of retirement (ala James McDonald), steal coaches, attract fans, etc. Like the actual teams, a lot of the players would be young draftees and you'd have to try your best to create a real dynasty. A whole season of observing/building before getting into the real stuff
Sorta like 'Fantasy Draft' but more realistic
 
Actually received an email from the creator of Premiership Coach a while back, and he mentioned that he was thinking of implementing a 'My Player' style mode in a future version (he said 2011, but that obviously didn't turn out).

Certainly something to look forward to. Would love a My Player game/mode for Aussie Rules done properly.
 
AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I really have failed with my time as the coach of the Suns. I'll back myself in for one more year but if things don't work out, I think it might be best for me to part ways with the club. Undefeated all season and lost to my rivals, the bombers, by 9 points in the prelim!!! I won a flag from 8th in 2013, lost to the bombers in the GF in 2014/15 and have now lost to the bombers without even making the big one. Big Sammy Day hurt his hammy in the leadup and I took a risk, playing him at 60%. Still managed to kick 3.1, but was certainly below his average. May have been the difference and I reckon I should have given him another week off and played just Tommy Lynch and Charlie Dixon :(

A My Player mode of some sorts would be a great addition to the game. :thumbsu:
 
What the game needs most (IMO) is a better match engine and a 'highlights' option to view the match in (ala FM).

The better match engine will undoubtedly come with more development and money put into the game (and as such I'm very willing to continue supporting the game).

A bit more of a individualized (per prospect) draft and scouting system would be fantastic as well.

As well as the opportunity for individual training programs, etc.
 
Just a few things about the game, dunno if they are bugs or not:

1. When i play the games my tall backs get insanely high ratings (9 or 10) while my mids get maybe 6-8. However when i sim my defenders don't touch the ball.

2. When I sim my player ratings are very low for about half the team (under 4).

3. My forwards kick barely and goals. Generally I kick 5-11 for a whole game (when playing).
 
anyone managed to get norf going? worst training/facilities/medical all rated E to go along with shocking finances, poor staff on long contracts along with a poor list (worst on the game than reality). I tryed to go the full rebuild at the start but ended up sacked after season 3, had drafted a few great kids and future was looking bright, the short term problems were too much for the fans and board though - no doubt the toughest club to play as on the game

I won a premiership in 2015 with my star key-forward Zane Oatley kicking 128 goals, even when I won the premiership North's facilities only got to C+'s.

Go with youth e.g. Shaun Atley and Aaron Black. I traded away Levi and Anthony, both couldn't get a game.

Most importantly draft smart don't take 10 midfielders look at your clubs weaknesses and try to improvve them.

Other then that it was just luck of the sim.
 
Got sacked from Sydney after 12 wins in 2 years and then moved to North, missed the finals the first year and then made the finals the last 8 years including the last 4 grand finals (back to back flags, a loss, and then another flag).

Started with the Dees and still coaching. Thought I was gonna gets sacked a couple of times along the way. Won my first flag 2018. A good win over essendon who had only lost 2 games for year. I also had a couple of good players out with injury. so trying to go back to back in 2019.
Traded Well. Got Delidio for Morton also got Jared Grant and Ayce Cordy who was my 2nd ruck to Gawn. Got a couple of others in trades and a few new draftees to. Watts didn't do much for a few years but he and Grant were stars in my premiership year.

Yep, best team going. Every week the newspaper predicted them to win by 60+, but they came last. Forward line was awesome. Key fwds S.Day, C.Dawes and J.Butler and small fwds were C.Rioli, L.Thomas and some draft pick. All up they were awesome.
 
Starting to lose interest now in my GC season. Its gone on forever now and I keep on getting ****ed over by the bombers in the finals :mad: I just can't beat em and its getting really frustrating. On school holidays for 2 weeks now so I reckon I may start a fantasy draft season :)
