Not sure of the details but I think:
2024 VFL team beats VFL team
2025 VFL team bears non-Vic team
2026 VFL team beats non-Vic team
2027 VFL team beats VFL team
2028 VFL team beats non-Vic team
2029 VFL team beats VFL team
2030 VFL team beats VFL team
So, Brisbane in the Bears jumper next year? And counted as one, or two, VFL teams for this year. :p

I love spotting other people's typos. It more than makes up for my rate of five typos per sentence.

Projecting any more than 3 years out feels pointless. Even projecting within that 3 years is fraught with danger for some bad takes.

With all that being said, let's do 10 years anyway....

Surprised no one sees Carlton as getting the prize in 2024. IMHO either they or Swans win it this year, Cats , Collingwood or Port to make up the losing PFs. All those clubs to again fight it out for honours next year. Trying to guess the outcome beyond there is a fool's errand. Reluctantly my only confident long term prediction is that my club won't share premiership honours in this time frame, we'll continue to finish 7th to 14th and thereby miss out on the elite talent/ leadership needed for flag success. Unless we miraculously make a transformational acquisition on the 'Barassi to Carlton in 1965' level.

Depends how Carlton handle this block of games with their long injury list. Sure we can do some damage come finals as our best is good enough but it is all but impossible to win the flag outside the top 4 as we experienced last season. 3-3 or better over the next 6 weeks and things start to move in our favour as some players return.

The 5 teams you listed are pretty spot on but I’m sure GWS will be up to their eyeballs in it as well.
