Just on another soccer forum and i found a thread like this. Jut interested to know what everybody here thinks.
It must be a regular 4-4-2 formation, based on performances from this year and not reputation and what might have been acheived in past campaigns. They do this at the end of the season but about 1/4 of the way through what do we think.
FYI here's mine
GK- Howard- Man Yoo- Hasn't probably had as much to do as some other keepers but hasn't conceded too many this season and more importantly hasn't commited any Barthez like errors.
RB- G. Johnson- Chelski- I've seen Chelsea play a bit and for his age I really like the way he plays. He gets forward alot and is an influentual attacking player in addition to being solid at RB.
CB- Upson- Scum Heath- Well the future England star centre back has been pivital in Brum's proud defensive record this campaign. Won't be so proud in a weeks time.
CB- Terry- Chelski- Outshone the likes of Ferdinand and Campbell this year, and looks a permanent fixture in Chelsea's side who was acquired before Roman took the helm.
LB- Tarnat- Citeh- Understudy to Bixente Lizarazu the French marvel at Bayern, hsa a long way to go before he gets near the heights of Bixente, but with his long range shooting, forward runs and attacking instincts complements Keegan's viewer friendly style of play perfectly.
RM- Pires- Gooners- Watch his goal against Liverpool. His performances despite being dropped have been pretty good in the league.
CM- Lampard- Chelski- Has been Chelsea's best most consistent player this year. A truly world class midfielder that is good in both attack and defence. Again like Terry was bought Pre-Roman.
CM- Scholes- Man Yoo- Man Yoo simply can't play nearly as well without him. Success in Europe will ultimately lie mostly on Scholes as he is a gauge as to how United are playing. A brilliant player who is perhaps underrated slightly but not by anyone who has a sound knowledge in soccer and has seen him play enough to make sound judgements. Good playing behind the striker where is ong range shooting and power he generates from it can provide to be a real nuisance.
LM- Duff- Chelski- The next Ryan Giggs. Has taken over the mantle as the best LM in the competion. His dribbling skills would have him amogst the top few in the world in that category.
CF- Henry- Gooners- Is Still the best player in the EPL IMO. Scores goals at will in conjunction with creating them. Lead the league in goal assists last season and was 2nd I think in the overall goal tally for the League. Dribbles past players like there not there & has acceleration and pace that leaves defenders behind.
CF- Van Nistelrooy- Man Yoo- Scores goals like I eat meals, not fashionable but prolific nonetheless. One of the best in the world.
SUBS
Mellberg- CB- Villa- Leads the Euro 2004 fantasy comp points. Curtails just about very striker in the premiership one of the best in the world, IMO. And thats not being byist (I don't think).
Sheringham- CF- Pompey- Based on this year and his goal tally I think Teddy's efforts have been outstanding and he could be a pivotol factor in whether Pompey stay up or go down next season.
Taylor- GK- Scum Heath- Fulham's loss was Birminghams gain. Would have been starting for me but his game against Man Utd and the sending off and all taken into account he had to play second fiddle. Much like he did at Fulham. Also made a bad error against Fulham but has kept numerous clean sheets for the **** team in town this year.
Giggs- LM- Man Yoo- Has been good this year again and still looks to have a couple of years left in his again body.
Kewell- CM- Reds- Has been ok of late and looks to be running into some form.
Manager- Keegan- Citeh- His style of football is worth staying up and watching. However two goalless games in row. Bruce a close second.
