I really can't see what the point is of having goal squares at each end of the ground if players kicking out from points scored can run to the middle of the 50 metre circle. The Demons utilised this somewhat better than us; May and others seemed to run further than Daniel for example. Backs who can kick the ball a long way will easily reach the centre and beyond. Interesting to see how teams set up to take advantage of this rule change, particularly if they have strong marking players up the ground.
A mark in the goal square as the attacking team still means you get a set shot from dead in front.
 
And if Stephen Hawking grew up in Braybrook he would've been named Douggie and covered it in A Brief 'istory of Time.
