Nah, Bruce liked the beers a bit too much in the hub. His 2021 season came off the back of him quitting drinking.

If Jordan Sweet is banging out 110kg, for reps, I would have him in the side round 1. More Biff and more Bench.

I could be wrong, but did Andrew Dunkley have a falling out with Sydney after he retired?

Could this have anything to do with Sydney not doing more to get both Mills and Dunkley in the same Draft?

I am sure if they really wanted Dunkley, they could have done more to move up in the Draft to ensure they got both Dunks and Mills. Perhaps they knew what the Dunkleys were like and they assessed the consequences of sacrificing their strong Draft hand would outweigh the benefits of drafting Dunkley.

Perhaps they knew all along the apple wouldn't fall far from the tree.

I don't think so. Dunkley had a deal with Sydney that they would only take him if he was nominated by a non-Victorian club, so they were very happy that Dunks could stay in Victoria closer to family. I think if anything Andrew feeling like Sydney did him dirty after he retired meant he pushed for Josh to say "* loyalty" and look out for himself.

Pumping out 110kg for reps (not maxing out) is huge, especially when it's likely just part of a program of building strength, so his top end would be far heavier than that
