And that’s me done for preseason

Probably the best conditioning I’ve seen the squad in since I’ve been attending training.

There’s a bit to look forward to this season albeit we’ll lose more than we win and there’ll be the occasional shellacking when things come completely unstuck

Stay positive, take the good with the bad as the players learn the new game plan and Mini identifies what he has to work with. Some will thrive, others will fall away but one thing I’m sure of is that the effort and desire to compete and improve will be there

can dewar win it? is it age / 10 games played.
i assume we had a bunch of kids play 10 games due to injuries that could have otherwise had a real crack

oooo, that and our current draft list means we have like 10 players that are eligable.

is dewar worth a flutter, rising star and mark of the year.

For an outside leaning flanker/wing in a spud team it's going to be pretty hard for Dewar to win it IMO.

Beau Allen playing lockdown defence probs rules him out as well.

My money is straight up Levi Ashcroft.

for sure. i was trying to think about who in our team might have a shot.
if i was going to bet, the smart thing would be on a team outside mine, because i already want us to win.
would give me more interest in other team / players that i dont have enough of when i can barley watch all our games live with work.

Can't say the season launch has ever really done it for me tbh. I just don't see who it appeals to.

With the amount we're constantly spammed/updated by the club day in day out on FB, on media, twitter, interviews, fan engagement, videos...

Who actually cares about the season launch other than the players themselves? What's new?

Do I care about Baker receiving the jumper he played in on Saturday? Not particularly.

Is Macqualter going to say something different in his interview this time compared to his last half a dozen interviews before this? No. Even if he does, so what.

Different strokes. Some people might be keen but I'm pretty content with hearing from the club unless it's a round 1 team update by this point

Draftee's families would get a kick out of it supposedly and gets them on board with the WC train hopefully.

But agree for the average punter, meh.

I remember speaking to Jack at the airport the year we won the premiership not knowing who he was we spoke for ages regarding the Eagles came away thinking he was a footy nuffy like me
