And that’s me done for preseason

Probably the best conditioning I’ve seen the squad in since I’ve been attending training.

There’s a bit to look forward to this season albeit we’ll lose more than we win and there’ll be the occasional shellacking when things come completely unstuck

Stay positive, take the good with the bad as the players learn the new game plan and Mini identifies what he has to work with. Some will thrive, others will fall away but one thing I’m sure of is that the effort and desire to compete and improve will be there

Feet can be too much of a worry if they're letting him train at Optus, either.

Elijah Hewett is actually dead, I went to his funeral last week with Adrian Barich and Tim Gossage. His family donated his feet to science

I know he's had some injuries but delisting the bloke on the eve of the season is a bit harsh.

I feel like “Hewett should be good to go for round one” is equivalent to NicNat being “available if it was a final” to never being seen again.

In all honesty though, no rush. Would rather see him in round 4/5 and play the majority of the year than rush him back too early and he then misses a chunk of the year.

I doubt it but any idea if they telecast WAFL preseason games? Streaming has come along way but that might be a stretch

But can't help wondering where we'll be mid season - will they live up to expectations; on track to win more games than last season; will some players step up and improve; how will injury list pan out; will the coach and game plan also improve through the season or will the whole shebang plateau early and we grind through to the next preseason and draft/trade period with only a mild improvement on 2024? Disappointment?
All ahead of us with expectations and some excitement like we haven't had for awhile!

Excitement! Not for me, I feel foreboding and dread, what if we are worse? When and if we show a bit in the first few games I'll get excited.

Well, there is a bit of mild excitement around with the new game plan and what we've seen in scratchies, but certainly contained at this stage. I agree with you, if we show a bit in early games...but I dont have the foreboding and dread part.
