So you make the statement that the majority of AFL forwards would "vote" Presti the hardest defender thay've played against, then you announce that you have no evidence of that bar Jonathan Brown's comment and then you look for someone "more sensible" to post.
Why don't you just ask for people to agree with you or not post?
God, sometimes it's an uphill battle to argue against the Collingwood stereotype
the key word is WOULD!!!!!
i didnt say they HAVE mate!
If you dont like him so much.....why dont you share with us who is a good replacement for him!
I don't think I said anywhere that I don't like him or don't think he's a very good defender or that he's the very, very best full back we've had for the last 273 years. In fact i don't think I commented on Presti at all.
I think my comments were directed at your claims.....
WOULD???? show me the evidence, son. It's you making the grandiose statements.
in the past 10 posts you havent said what you think...so..you are a waste of time!!!!
EVIDENCE- 2002-2003- PIES MADE GRANNYS----- PRESTI PLAYED EXTREMLY WELL IN BOTH YEARS--
FOLLOWING FEW YEARS----- HE HAD INJURIES (GROIN PROBLEMS, ELBOW, SHOULDER, HAMSTRINGS).....PIES STRUGGGLED WITH ONLY WAKELIN AND JIMMY.
I AM NOT GOING TO MAKE FURTHER COMMENTS TO YOU AS I KNOW AND AS I SAID BEFORE- ANY PIES SUPPORTER WITH HALF A BRAIN KNOWS....HE IS ONE OF THE MORE IMPORTANT PLAYERS IN OUR STRUCTURE OVER THE PAST 5 PLUS YEARS
I want you to tell me who is the best forward when fully fit playin the game?
i say J Brown
He did say that Presti is his hardest opponent!
Would he out vote Scarlett, Fletcher, Rutten,...hell, even O'Hailpen is proving to be tougher than Presti.
I think you guys need to start a serious appreciation thread, rather than trying to feel good about an average player.
Brodie Holland is one that comes to mind as underated. Paul Licuria is another.

YES HE WILL OUT VOTE THEM!!!!!!!!
100%!
I feel sorry for you
you feel sorry for me?
your the carlton supporter!
It is not about who we support. It bothers me not whether you follow Collingwood, or Essendon, etc
It comes down to the lack of knowldege about your chosen subject
Most objective people would not have Presti in the top 10 fullbacks of the past 10 years. Other Collingwood supporters hav said the same thing IN THIS THREAD
and as i said..anybody who says he is not in the top ten full backs in the passt 10 years has no idea about football
Ok...i listed my top ten fullbacks in the last 10 years..
Please list yours so we can all decide
to tell you the truth..i dont care what the top ten is..
this thread is about presti...and i say he would defently be in the top 5
Presti is a gun.
First player that opposition supporters bag each week, but when it comes to manning up on a key forward, there aren't many better than Presti.
Are you kidding me???
Ok..let's try name some better than him that have played since 1997 (10 years ago)..in no particular order...this will not be hard
1) Fletcher (Ess)
2) Scarlett (Geel)
3) Mal Michael (Brisbane years)
4) McIntosh (WCE)
5) Rutten (Adel)
6) Gaspar ( Richmond)
7) Hay (Hawthorn)
8) Barry (Syd)
9) Silvagni (Carl)
10) Martyn (Nth)
Need i keep going?
I would have to reach the 20's before Presti gets a guernsey
Of that list id have Presti ahead of
L.Barry - not a true KP backman He plays on the best forward every week. Just because he plays the role different to the classical FB, doesnt mean he isnt a full back. Scarlett plays a similar role, yet you rate him
Hay - one season wonder All Australian. Cant be dismissed that easily
Martyn - close to presti, but he was in successful teams all his career so never had to deal with the ball coming in as easy as presti Martyn was a premier full back for 5 or 6 years. He played on Ablett, Dunstall, Kernahan, etc....You cannot argue that the midfield saved him
Gaspar - a couple of good years tarnished by him being rubbish Again, an All Aussie. His career has gone on too long, but still he was very good for 4 or 5 years
Rutten - when u have a dozen other blokes helping u out it is easier, also has only had a couple of good years, in time he may pass presti, but not at the minute Sensible argument
so id rank him 6th behind
Flethcer
Scarlett
McIntosh
Michael
SOS
Others to add that may be better than Presti...Croft at WB, O'Reilly at Geelong, Langford at Hawthorn (does he meet the 10 year rule?), Max Hougten (StK)
