This is going to sound extreme, but this game could be a sliding doors moment that we look back on as one of the most crucial in our AFL history.

Lose by enough and we reset and get a chance to start fixing the pieces with Carr. A close loss or worst possible scenario a win could set the club back a decade or more.
We've had more sliding doors than Bunnings at this point but every single one of them has lead to Daddy Donuts sitting on his deck chair

I’m concerned if we continue to lose, we will still stick with Ken and all it will do is drive Butters and Bergman further away and make us less attractive for any player or assistant coach we are trying to attract.

We’ve got no first round pick, and Koch and Ken are both stubborn as hell and sound like they aren’t going to deviate from the 2025 succession plan so winning is going to be far more beneficial for us in the long run.

Is Visentini any chance of being dropped? How’s Sweet been playing in the 2nd’s? Cheers
Every chance of being dropped with Donuts in charge but shouldn't be. Pick him at your own risk with this regime

It’s not extreme it’s non-sensical.

If we win, Carr will be coach next year. If we lose, Carr will be coach next year. Not sure what sliding doors moment you’re referring to.

The only thing that losing does is makes us a less attractive place to be for players like Butters, Bergman, NWM.

Burton will be out as well injured.

OUT: Sinn, JHF, Jones, Ratagolea, Burton (inj), Moraes (omit)
IN: Lorenz, Boak, Atkins, Berry, BZT, Jackson (sub)

FF: DBJ, Lord, Rioli
HF: Georgie, SPP, JoeR
C: Boak, Drew, Lorenz
HB: Burgoyne, Aliir, Rozee
FB: Berg, BZT, Logan
R: Vis, Butters, Wines

INT: Finlayson, Atkins, Mead, Berry
SUB: Jackson
Updating this, we're going to end up with 5-6 changes.

Freo by somewhere around that 10 goal margin range, give or take a couple.

At the peak of our powers last year we only just got the job done. We're playing significantly worse, we're littered with injuries and form concerns and they are playing a little better (if not inconsistent). This will be another that gets ugly quick.

It’s going to be a shit load of changes and we are most likely going to lose comfortably but besides JHF the ins and outs aren’t going to make that much difference.

A close win here, Ken after the bye and we continue to drift out the season losing a bunch of games in the second half by 80, 90 points and are an absolute bottom 2 cluster**** by years end.

A big loss here and Josh might be able to get things back on track, give those guys a taste of the future and get the side to start playing with intent again. Its not a guarantee, but if we come home with a winning record and no more blowouts Id say its much more positive. Right now the players have given up because just like everyone else they see how ridiculous the succession plan is.

This is the time tested scenario where the players " do it for ken " mark my words port Adelaide win this week.
We've got 21 players injured on our AFL + SANFL lists, we are cooked.

I was thinking the same. We'll see, but I reckon even the players are running out of shits to give for the guy. - seems they've checked out completely. Much stranger things have happened, maybe with a full squad. JHF is a big loss alone.

unrelated to Ken.

Would generally agree with you, but the injury list is just far too long now for that to even be an option. Half our team will be reserves players this week.
