Giants have been good, but not dominating and we're a pretty reliable side, especially at home. The market should probably be a bit tighter, but it's not surprising that we'd be slight favourites.
Market is saying we lost last week due to being gassed by 5 day break off Queensland humidity

If we believe that then it’s our chance to prove that this week

Not mad at all.

Losing Peatling is an absolutely massive blow. He has been by far the best recruit out of the three we stole in the offseason.

We got him (and a future 3rd and 4th) all for a future 2nd round pick. Thats an absolute steal for the player leading the AFL in Goal Assists through 5 rounds.
It’s the value trade of the off season competition wide I reckon

Thought so at time too

A 30+ something year old playing his third game in 11 days… is it all that surprising? Tex started brilliantly and didn’t really offer a yelp after half time. Laird has been mostly very good in the back lines this year. Thats his position now as long as he’s performing. Last week was tough for a lot of them.
It’s on the coach then . If 30 something players can’t run out the games because they are too close together then we needed to take a squad approach instead of first pick senior players and using the same 22 all the time . Nicks alluded to this being the strategy prior to this run of games but then did the complete opposite. We are not so good that we can pick players that can only play a half. Especially when we have so much depth. All roads lead to the coach not adapting unfortunately

I'm happy to see Sholl out but, geez, :poov1: Nicks is slow to respond to underperformance
AND
we gotta wait for at least another dud game from RoB :grimacing: before he is dropped.

Berry IN surprised me. Has he been tearing it up in the SANFL?
Three weeks of sanfl

22 touches, 2.1 4 tackles

Round two travelling emergency

Round 3 into afl side

Why not Berry ? Feels like we need a desperado in centre square

Someone that won’t let us down and provide a Peatling lite influence
I understand it, he’s definitely next man up, but the benefit of getting Peatling was to push Berry and his fumbles out of the 23

He’s probably sub (if Nicks’ comments about Taylor are anything to go by), so I’m fine with it

My main concern with Berry in is that him and Crouch makes us slow in the midfield. Glacial slow. We might get away with it if the rain forecast eventuates but, given how this year has panned out and that rain misses at the best of times, we'd want a plan B and we all know how good Nicks is with that.

That said, there's a strong chance he'll be sub.

Is Berry that slow?
