Agreed he's a legend of the club. Perhaps an error of judgement on my part given the views of some that he's somehow infallible. He isn't. And this year more than most.

I agree he deserves a big pat on the back but those who confuse greatness with flawlessness or anything close to that need to grow up ....

We happily discuss the implied off field misdemeanors of players, potential draftees and others and we do that in the context of impact on the club, potential impact on the club and impact on players and the group as a whole. But we aren't able to raise that as a potential issue with the clubs leader? With the bloke whose strongest trait has been fierce loyalty and commitment?

Sure it was probably initially raised in a petulant way but as someone who has known Woosh since he was 20 this has been out of character and is likely not helping him at his place of work... Perhaps not but its worth discussing ...

Believe me both eyes are open, Im actually one who believes it is time to part ways. I just tend to reach breaking point with some of the ridiculous comments that come up, comments that you would expect from freo trolls not alleged supporters. This isnt necessarily directed at just yourself but many. I suppose im a tad naive to expect anything else from open slather forums

Eagle87 I suspect you know more than most, certainly more than I do, about what is happening in worsfolds life outside of football. My main interest is the impact those issues are having on his work as coach of the club and if the rumours are true it can't be easy - coaching an AFL team would be a stressful job and troubles away from the club wouldn't help

My guess it might be better for worsfold and club all round if they make a fresh start

Agreed entirely. I may have believed it was time to part regardless but I'm more certain now.

Can't believe Kerr is copping it for not doing enough around the ground yet Priddis is praised for his workrate?

Kerr's destroyed his body for this club and is now paying the price, WTF has Priddis done aside from handballing it 1m sideways to a stationary target or flour bagging it to the opposition out of a stoppage?

Disgusted with that crap on the WCE site, disrespectful to a player who has more talent in his pinky than Ploddus will ever have.

Well we all use forums in different ways and sometimes its as a modern day version of "kicking the cat", as such its often more important to try and see the message rather than the delivery.

Obviously the other issue is that there are a range of folk from the old to the young, the educated to the less so, women to men, and smarter and less smart. This together with a range of other factors obviously leads to a certain level of incredulity at times from all of us regarding posts outside what we'd see as "normal" discourse.

That's why it's best to probably take a thicker skinned view of most of the shyte that gets said ....

Some of us just do it to provoke debate and its just as often ineffective as effective ....

Do what I do and don't take all this seriously. People find it terrible cathartic to come on here and just vent because all we want is success and it hurts when we don't get it.

Most surprisingly its come from Woosh. Not his normal style to out individual players in the press and when he does so its arguably one of the best 2 or 3 on our list across their entire careers.

As I said earlier Ive been ruminating for a while that they can't play together (Kerr & Priddis) because we get hurt the other way too much but this lionising of Matt and direct criticism of Kerr seems pretty odd ...

Kerr has pretty strong views within the group and hasn't typically been slow to express them. Priddis is a bit of a relative pussycat from the coaches perspective. I'm wondering if there's more to it .... But probably me over thinking it ...

I just find it mind boggling that Kerr is being criticized for the exact fault that Priddis exemplifies, outside of stoppages he has no hurt factor and his opponent can get away from him at the rate of a slow jog.

Woosha should have unleashed on himself for losing the game.

Thinking that game was in the bag and benching Glass. Rocca ran riot and by the time Woosha got a clue and returned Glass to the field, it was all over.

Maybe so, but considerably less of a liability. Kerr can still take a mark or at least bring the ball to ground while Priddis in the air is utterly laughable, Kerr in his old age and battered body still covers the turf better than Priddis, is a much better kick, more of a goalkicking threat and is able to both break and stick tackles in open play more than Priddis.
Still a bit of a liability, but not woeful at everything but getting first hands on the ball like Priddis is.

Im not sure if Colin Young has actually requested a please explain from Woosh re his comments on Kerry??...as reported by Duffield in the West.
I am a massive Kerry fan...prob my fav player...but this year he has laboured off the ball, prob still giving 200% but he cannot catch anyone and just falls away in a chase. Its with explanation considering his lousy pre season and injury woes this year...so no personal attck on Kerry by Woosh at all i believe. Media beat up i thinks. Woosh is just telling it how it is, and listening to Kerrys comments earlier this year i believe he would be in agreeance with Woosh.
He is a required player in 2014...for sure.

Does seem weird - but the workrate thing is correct. Priddis is hitting contests all around the ground all game where as Kerr is just not getting to enough contests to have an impact. In saying that - without having seen Kerr's game in the WAFL I would have thought 30+ touches is a great sign that he is getting over his injury concerns and upping his workrate and so it does seem an unusual week for Woosh to be having a dig.

kerr is a bonafide star, but he is just struggling endurance wise. He himself said around the time of the Melb game that he is basically doing a pre-season in season....he will be good to go next yr. Time to heal some boys bodies, and some hearts at WCE.
