A lot of people have said that, but Kelly had an underrated season for mine. His in and under work at the contested footy was very good I thought.
If Kelly can regain the form he showed prior to his injury then that might keep Prismall out. Prismall probably isn't the in and under player but then again we already have heaps of those in the middle. He probably has a better footy brain than Kelly and his footskills are on a different level to Kelly not to mention he can kick those 50m+ goals.

This trade talk about Pris is ALARMING! He's not going anywhere and the club would be stupid to trade him! Dont bother suggesting Moran or Leigh Brown or Adam McPhee or the likes because its not nearly close to enough compensation! The club would need top 10 draft pick minimum for him.
If word is that Joel Selwood is a future captain then Prismall will be his vice captain!

kelly was in our top 5 players in the finals series.

I agree, some people seem to watch the games with blinkers on, only noticing the exciting, running players - Kelly was one of, if not the toughest, hardest player in the finals, winning hard ball after hard ball (e.g. courageuos knock-on to Chappy to set up 2nd goal of GF), and his skills were good as well (e.g kick to Chappy in GF when he couldve blazed away). Dont understand what games people are watching sometimes...

You just won a premiership without him, how is he required?

I'd take him at Bomberland... and we'd actually use his services, not that that says a great deal about him or the EFC :D
He is required for midfield depth..we had a charmed run with midfield injuiries this season which is unlikely to happen again. When Bartel went down late this year with appendicitis, Prismall wouldve been straight in except he had been injured (broken arm? not sure)

That's behind us now. Got to look to 2008 and beyond where he is seen as an important player.
Corey is your oldest player in the middle at 25-26, Prismall is 20-21 and only played 5 games this season... I'd want to leave for more opportunities wouldn't you?

Not with blokes like Byrnes getting a senior game! :D

He may have played more this year, but was injured for most of second half of season.

No. I'd want to stay and back myself that I'll get opportunities in a team with its premiership window well and truly open. Especially if, as has been reported, the club has told him that he's wanted and presumably, they have a plan for how to use him.

It's a myth that there's not room for him in the side. He could have played in Byrnes' spot in the GF team. Only an interrupted season due to injury prevented that from happening.

Well good luck to Geelong next year anyway, fantastic year and congrats!

Would've thought you would get someone descent for Prismal... not that you need anything!

I dont disagree, he's tough, puts his head over the ball and is one of our best tacklers but i think Prismall if given the same opportunities as Kelly, would be much more damaging. I'm not saying we should trade Kelly but if we keep Prismall on the list, he's most likely to take Kel's position.

I agree with keeping, I just dont agree on Kelly being the one to miss out, unless his form drops dramatically next year.

All our midfielders are not going to stay injury free forever and once Prismal gets into the side I have a feeling he will make it hard to get back. Hes a star of the future

My thoughts exactly, he was very unlucky this year, got dropped when the whole team had a shocker, then every time a spot opened up he seemed to be injured at the time.
