For those of you that have seen more of the V's than me, what do we think of the boy and how close is he to getting a game?
From the little Ive seen he fits the the gauge of players that Thompson has gone for the last of couple of years, heeps of foot skill , but not sure if hes super quick. Watching Melbourne Friday night , Johnstons ability to finese the pass was something most of our guys lack, even the ones with good feet skills. Pre season I watced him kick for goal and just like Thurley was a nice set shot.
So what do we think, this year or more likely 06

Good skills, but struggles to find a lot of ball. Was okay today and got a fair bit in the last which suggests he can run out cames fairly well. Hes a Moloney clone.

Impossible to tell how close to a game he is. There's so much more to selection than just VFL form.

He's an excellent kick, both in terms of accuracy and impact. Lacks a yard and goes missing at times.

My notes on Pris from U/!8's were that he was a highly skilled player, superb footpass but doesn't get a truckload of possessions.

Unfortunately have only seen a little bit of him this year due to time constraints. Would appear to need this year in the VFL but who knows if more injuries occur.

Think would be more of a complimentary player in the midfield rather than a prime mover at this stage but bear in mind that probably a dozen possie's from Pris could be worth 20 from some other players.
