I remember I was so excited to get this every Thursday. I'd rip through it in an afternoon when i got home from school. Id even pore through every box score.

Im 99% sure its dead as I havent seen it for years, and i guess the rise of the internet killed it.

Anyone have any details of its demise?

Yeah it died years ago. I loved it; i used to buy it every week without fail.

High costs for publication and the lack of circulation lead it its demise. There was never anything official released, they just said a few weeks before hand that it was going to be stopped.

Well HIV....not the AIDS virus. Without being majorly pedantic, there is a difference.

Back before the days of the internet this paper was our source for NBA stats for our fantasy ball leagues.
It sure was.

Before Dirk and Nash came to the Mavs I was a fan of Glen Rice and the Charlotte Hornets.

That entire 97/98 season I was filling up a scrapbook of Hornets' stats that I got entirely from PBT.

There was something special about this paper for me because I didnt have the internet (yes, a world did exist Funkyzeit mit Matt was born) and these precious stats were so inaccessable.

I remember there used to be a 0055 numbers that was like $2 a minute that I would ring up every night getting scores and stats

I remember winning a fantasy roto comp with Dana Baros, Derrick Coleman, Vlade Divac, Karl Malone and Clyde Drexler :D

Baros shot the 3pt lights out that season.

I still have a couple of issues, the ones that were published when the Wildcats won the titles in 1990/91, and the issue when Larry Bird retired.

Did anyone buy the one on one magazines?
