Okay, I've been getting all sorts of mixed reviews about the Probowl. Some people dig it and some people think it's a waste of time. What do you guys think?

I for one would love to see McNabb kick some Qb butt in the bowl. But maybe that's just me. :p My other deal is how to get him in there. I heard that you can use your cellphone to vote the players (McNabb McNabb) into the bowl by texting #69847. But there's other ways to do it too. That’s the latest I’ve heard as far as voting tho. Anyone try it yet??

Re: ProBowl Anyone?

Probowl voting is now closed. Yeah, its seems to be done more on popularity and name recognition than actual performance. Jonathan Ogden has been out most of the year but he is leading the AFC ticket at LT. Some good players weren't even on the list!

I bet Dwight Freeney voted for Ogden!

huh ?? Indy = AFC Balt = AFC :confused: Thought Freeny got the better of Ogden although Ogden isn't a bad LT...just sluggish on the first two steps. Tarik Glenn overlooked ?

I voted anyway. 1. Peyton 2. Roethlisberger :)

Re: ProBowl Anyone?

ProBowl = Money spinning toss.
Players do not take it seriously.
Popularity contest which quite often does not intersect with the seasons form.

Couldn't agree more.

Roethlisberger...

You have to be kidding me. Rookie of the year sure but the probowl? Roethlisberger has thrown for over 200 yards in ONLY 2 games! Manning and Brady and shoe-ins and Brees should be the third. Brees has to make the Pro Bowl, there's no way to justify him not being there. Roethlisberger in the probowl would be a disgrace.
