Hey all. This is my first post on BigFooty for be kind!

Basically wanted to voice something I've noticed for probably the past 5-6weeks. For whatever reason the Dees have pretty much become dumb and lazy. The dumb part is the way we are bringing the ball into the forward line. For some reason the team has reverted to last years strategy of "bomb it to Neitz 3 on 1. The lazy part is when it is inevitably then turned over and the opposition are allowed to run unattended the length of the ground.

It is disappointing because the beauty of our game for the first 18 was the discipline to man up all over the ground and the amount of options we looked for in the forward line.

We can still find that form if the boys start to think about it a bit and work harder. Hopefully we will and make our presence felt in the finals and shut up some of the nay-sayers.

Catch ya.

what i used to not get was when the bomb did go in - while the 3 defenders on Neita, where are the 2 other players couldn't crumb....

Not sure if some dud switched all the calenders in the changerooms to 2005's.. I am super dooper happy that the D's are in the finals though,, want to see next year's efforts though.

Example.

3rd quarter on Saturday @ Optus Oval vs. Carlton.

Brad Miller was 60 metres out on the flank. Ben Holland makes a good lead in front of his opponent about 40 metres out from goal on a decent angle. David Neitz is sitting in the goalsquare and also makes a lead. He leads a second after Holland but heads to the pocket. There are 3 opponents in front of, next to and behind Neitz. Who does Miller kick to? Neitz. He skies it to the pocket instead of hitting Holland on the chest. The ball is turnover and another inside 50 is wasted.

How very true. It's shades of 2003 all over again.

Don't go too hard on 'em mate. We'll get an MCG home final against an even worse team & could cop Geelong or St.K in the 2nd week if we win. Port at home (ta MCC ;)) & then Brisbane at home for the first time since 2000. All part of ND's grand plan....:D
