Hey there brisbane fans, congrats on friday, just wondering where I would punch in my brisbane membership code?

I couldn't get past step 2 of Section 5 's instructions so i may need some assistance
Because it hasn't opened yet.

As dlanod mentioned it has not opened yet

Or are you after tickets for the PF Geelong game which opened at 3pm today

Nah understood now, will wait till they open.

This also leaves the question of will a similar process be open for other team members. There seems to be roughly 5000 that are just under "AFL club members

But why would you tick option 2.
The club clearly states option (1) is what you should choose if you want to "retain (P1) access to a Grand Final Ticket "

  1. I will accept the next best available ticket – including Standing Room
  2. I will accept the next best available reserved seat – no Standing Room

Not interested in standing, for a few reasons. But in reality... what is the point of the 2nd option existing...

Disclaimer: no evidence for this.

I've assumed standing ticket is last contingency, Category 7 etc. We wouldn't have enough Priority 1 members to use up everything to that degree.

I'm just trying to think logically. I just can't see how it makes sense. Even if some cat 7 tickets are in the priority 1 allocation... it surely wouldn't be many. Like, from a company point of view, why would you. And then why even have the option to select no to standing, if you can be given a standing ticket and then miss out. Literally no reason for picking that option... so why have it.

I would think they would have higher ratio of more expensive tickets in the higher priorities. I've seen this in some of our finals games, using our memberships to buy early and it just seems like some of the more 'value' seats are just locked out until it hits public.

I'd imagine it's some anti-discrimination checkbox, e.g. you have to pretend to provide for those physically unable to stand for that period (but possibly not in a wheelchair). Similarly the standing room scenario would only apply to those clubs completely exhausting their membership allotment, and those getting it are probably happy just to be there.

Yes most likely this
Over the years the AFL would have had issues arise from time to time. They would then adjust their wording and procedure accordingly
I thought someone mentioned an 85 year old relative at some stage?
Anyhow as an example this elderley person may be very mobile but unlikely to want to stand up
This same person may not fall into the category below (red)
So they and relatives may wish to go down the path of Option 2

Personally if i was in that situation with a P1 access i would still tick Option 1 as i beleive you will get seats

Then again i can be a SOB so if things went haywire i would just leave grandma home (joking i think)

Does anyone know if tickets bought through this process will be transferable? I usually go to the footy with my Mum who is unwell in the hospital at present. I'd still like to try and get tickets on the off chance things turn around over the next couple of weeks, but will stay in Brisbane if she's not fit to travel. I don't want to get stuck with tickets I can't use if that's the case.

Shouldn’t be an issue whatsoever, if you get to buy one you can elect to receive it digital (wallet) and send to someone else just like all games

Don't suppose anyone has a priority one barcode they are not using? Just realised i am one short - the old man never joined! Happy to pay for one-off use.

Hi everyone, as a priority 2 group I only need to register in the ballot at my nominated registration time?

Nothing else to do before then?

Cheers

You can only use one credit card.
Get friends/relatives to reimburse you later if registering for more than one ticket
Ensure your credit card available funds can handle the purchase.
Ticketek will not try a second time if it fails the first time
So ensure you have $435 for each purchase. That’s the top ticket price

If registering for others
Get them to forward the clubs email to you so you have barcodes handy
Getting 12 digit numbers over the phone is asking for trouble
A copy and paste to Ticketek is more accurate, but each to their own

Log in to Ticketek at the time mentioned on the clubs email according to your Priority status
If you have a mixture of Priority 1,2 3 see various comments in this thread
First in to register does not get the best seats just ensure you register in the allocated time

During the registration process (Step 5) ensure you select the below option for (P1), same applies for (P2) & (P3). The club strongly recommends selecting this option

select Option 1 – ‘I will accept the best available ticket – including Standing Room’ at the time of registering to retain (P1) access to a Grand Final ticket.

I can't find anywhere that tells me which person the barcode belongs to. So I don't know if the barcode is an adult or a child.

Does the bar code include the information of adult or child that automatically populates appropriately for the gf tickets?
Or

do I enter the bar code then select adult or child??

I'm panicking that is the second option above and I confuse the bar code with the adult/child status and they kick out ticket application out.

this is so stressful.

Don't stress
Just enter each barcode to a maximum of 8 per registration.
Barcodes have all the relative information on each member, including whether it be Adult, Child, Concession
However any child ticket will be processed as a concession as no child prices for GF

Printout the procedure above and have it next to your PC/Laptop/Phone before you start

Remember you can always ring the club if you have issues while entering barcodes

I'm like the old person in the example above - I've got peripheral neuropathy (chemo - the gift that keeps on giving) and can't stand for 3-4 hours.

Still agonising over ticking the no standing option. We are priority one.

Good luck getting them to answer the phones though.

If all of you are Priority 1 you should be fine. I think all P1 Lions members will get a reserved seat. Assuming we beat Geelong.
Just stick to the clubs recommendation- Option 1 – ‘I will accept the best available ticket – including Standing Room’
