Jesse White - CHB , very left field but would like to see what he can do in the back line, very big and mobile, has speed and can jump, everything you need from a defender, hasnt worked as a forward , so try new things ?
I don't doubt he has the attributes, but I really doubt he has the head-space for a defensive roll. He'll go to water as soon as someone grabs a mark against him. I also don't think he reads the play all that well.

I'd rather play Marsh there than Jesse. Maybe start him in the VFL there and see what he can do, but I doubt he'll ever be much more than a second/third string forward.

Ben Kennedy for the defensive/crumbing forward. Get rid of Blair and let this kid work his magic.

I'd like for this happen as well but I can't see Blair being pushed out of the side.

It sounds like a good idea because of how athletic he is, then we remember that he'll get 10 touches then disappear for the rest of the game.

Nope...White down back and just tell him to beat his man. But if he doesn't stop going to ground so easily I reckon he's surplus to requirements.

But we have plenty of other defenders that can beat his man.

He is pretty much just a poor Jack Frost then

We need some defenders who can actually rebound

Elite kicks like Burgoyne Hodge Birchall taking the ball from the backhalf forward are so crucial, pretty much all our defenders are average or terrible kicks

People forget Matthew Richardson nearly won a Brownlow playing on the wing. White has similar attributes to Richo and I'd love to see him run and gun.

'Bout the only similar attributes that Jesse White and Richo share are in size. Mate did you watch Richo play? He kicked 800+ goals despite missing a year with a knee reconstruction, averaged about 15 marks (most of them overhead which Jesse just can't seem to handle) and 8-10 shots at goal a game and in his later years had a year or two on the wing and nearly won a Brownlow. FGS Richo even got the Tigers into the finals!!

Seedsman to the wing is one of mine...but its on the proviso he has a very good preseason.

The back line is crying out for a level headed good ball user but I can't think of one yet, besides Shaz.

I also think Elliott could play a more roaming role all over the park, he has the most potential of anyone.

Jackson Ramsay as an on ball run with player while Caff recovers. Disciplined, neat skills and determined.

Tagged Whitfield in the national titles and did well.

Except that Tony Armstrong can kick.

I like the idea. Although he's no Richo, I have always been of the opinion that Jesse had his best moments when he was playing around the ball, and he had opportunities to use his size to burst through packs and then use his tank to gain a few metres and kick long. I've never really taken notice to the defensive side of his game, but if he was to occupy the wing, he'd need to be on point. Guys like Isaac Smith and Brad Hill would have a field day against him otherwise.

Scott Pendlebury to full back. With his skill set and vision he could really set up our attacking play.

Toovey isn't getting any younger so we need to develop Ramsay into that next lockdown defender. Make him Toovey's apprentice.
Also, get Pendlebury to teach the taller blokes with a chance to play midfield like Crisp, Karnezis and Scharenberg a few tricks while Cloke can teach young Gault, Moore, Witts and Grundy about the art of contested marking.
I know they aren't positional changes but it would be a good way to fast track some of our youngsters.

Marley Williams says hi

id like to see jesse white not in our best 22... hes not that good a footballer, thus why he's never played consistenly... he should be sitting in the vfl as depth at best

If anyone is to change roles I would like to see Sidebottom go from more a utility who plays where he is needed to more a pure midfielder. With Beams gone we need him through there. Same with Swan who needs to go back to his full time midfield role if we want to win games next season.

Karnezis could probably go from more a forward role up onto a wing rotating forward role.

Young would benefit from becoming a permanent wing rather than play minutes on a back flank.

Oxley and Armstrong I slightly favour on a forward flank to back flank as playmakers delivering it into the forward 50, rather than components to a back half.

Moore definitely needs to become more a key forward rather than key defender. If he plays key defence for a year, I'm ok with that for developmental reasons but it's a waste drafting him if we think he'll become a key defender long term or we may as well have taken a Goddard or Marchbank in the 15-20 range somewhere who are both better key defenders.

Williams for me needs to stay back for another season. With Scharenberg out there are just not enough good options who can play in the back half. But I agree with the vision of him playing a rotational midfield ball winning/forward role.

Reid I definitely feel needs to remain forward. Cloke last year was terrible without that second marking option in the front half and Reid is needed for that. His footskills are not as penetrating as they once were so there isn't any great usefulness in moving him back with Keeffe probably a better CHB now.

Seedsman I most like on a back flank, but he can rotate up onto a wing as required rotationally.

Fasolo I'm pretty open minded to next year depending on what we need but I'd still be more inclined to play him forward or back than through the midfield. This year I'm again open to seeing him get some minutes in the back half for developmental reasons and to give us some drive for next year out of the back half. Less injuries tend to happen to defenders relative to forwards or midfielders so that may help him this year at least find his feet again before moving forward again in 2016 if we get a healthy back half together.

Elliott I'm ok with seeing get some minor midfield minutes but he is so good forward that that's where he needs to play most of his minutes.

Broomhead while I like him forward I'd also be look to become a rotational midfielder who splits his time between the front half and midfield.
