You need to grow up (and grow some balls). You're suggesting you're some sort of classy ex private schoolboy that is "above" prostitution, right? There is no excuse for elitism nor ignorance. Why yes it is. All the better to smack peanuts down with.

It's nothing to do with 'classiness' or wealth... not sure where you get that from. Just making the point that I was brought up in a fairly traditional environment, where that stuff was always drilled into you as taboo. That stuff has hangovers into adulthood, meaning I'm still kind of naturally uncomfortable talking about it. Vestiges of Protestant morality, whatever you want to call it. It's not a question of elitism, more just conditioning. Happens to everyone in some form or another, your worldview is always shaped by how you grew up.You need to grow up (and grow some balls). tip: no you're not above it, you're just soft. And the fact that you can't openly talk to you mates about paying for sex suggests how sterile you are and that you don't have the ability to form close relationships with your friends.
Do you like tennis by any chance? Boat shoes? Chinos?
My automatic go-to words when I'm pissed off/frustrated/injured are things like damn/blast/bloody hell.

It's so, so easy to get sex any weekend of the year.

I use hookers all the time. I love it. Stop making me feel bad for banging hookers by saying it's dirty.
Not quite. What I'm thinking is:By reading this:
Effectively all i'm thinking is this:
They probably are but good luck trying to get them to do your ironing.Who was it who made the observation that in the long run, hookers are cheaper?
I'd be interested in hearing more about this. I mean, I think the whole idea of prostitution is a bit icky, acknowledge thats a personal view, and thats probably not going to change.c) In a past life I used to deal with prostitution and the sex industry for a number of years. I know it inside and out. The OPs views are ignorant.
It's complex - i could write a book. There are elements of crime, drug dependency, exploitation, and even slavery, but on the other hand there are normal girls (quite a few drug free) who might do it for a short time while studying, travelling, etc.I'd be interested in hearing more about this. I mean, I think the whole idea of prostitution is a bit icky, acknowledge thats a personal view, and thats probably not going to change.
But I freely admit that I don't know much about the sex trade and some of my practical objections (e.g. front for organised crime, populated by women economically trapped in the profession) might be uninformed. Want to expand a bit on those points, rather than just hurl insults?
How many people honestly look back on their first time as 'special' anyway? For most of us it was an awkward, weird experience, most likely followed up with an apology. Why do that to a 'real' person?

Kind of like swearing. My parents cracked down on it massively when we were kids, so as a consequence neither me or my brother really swear at all. Not because we look down on it, just because we were sort of conditioned out of it. My automatic go-to words when I'm pissed off/frustrated/injured are things like damn/blast/bloody hell.

JESUS!!! Correct. So no one can be above prostitution? As men we're all equally deprived animals and none of us are too good for a whore?
Well, strangers on the net is different to sitting around with mates isn't it? I'm not saying I WANT to be uncomfortable talking about it, much less consider it a badge of honour that I am. It's just a quirk of personality; if anything, probably a detrimental one. Which is kind of why I started this thread - to thrash out a topic that I probably couldn't in a group of friends.JESUS!!!
90% of us were bought up with some sort of religious "morality" but have recognised it's a load of rubbish.
There are things i don't feel comfortable talking about but I don't wear it as a badge of honor "this is how i was bought up"! I just shut up and let people talk about, or do, what they want to do!
"i'm still naturally uncomfortable talking about" - yet you start a thread on it. It's like you're asking a poster like bb to cyber beat you into awareness.
Although to be fair, I can sort of see where he's coming from.Who was it who made the observation that in the long run, hookers are cheaper?
