u can use a usb headset but i'd ask why?

or

buy a bluetooth headset, pair it to the ps3 and use that
the jabra bt25 ships with the retail version of warhawk.

what do you mean why?

So any headset will work on a PS3? There isn't a certain type that needs to be used?

well the usb ones are wired. Bluetooth not wired and available from any mobile phone shop.

much like keyboards, mice, HDD, wheels, DVD drives etc the PS3 is a very open platform. Pretty much any USB device will work and well. totally the opposite of the 360. My PS3 is attached to a usb hub running kb, mouse, hdd, dvd drive etc.

I would reccomend the Motorolla H500, I have that one and it works brilliantly, it's light, looks nice and you can get it for about $20 off eBay, and it is starting to retail cheaply now too.

One thing you want to watch out for is Bluetooth headsets that need to be registered everytime you want to use it, not much of a hassle, but you just have to go into the Audio settings and enter a pin every time instead of just turning it on and it being paired with the PS3.

I purchased the jabra one that comes with Warhawk for about 20 bucks on ebay.

I dont use it that much, I just find it bit weird talking to these randoms whilst you are playing against them. Good for co-op games though.
