Who else will be available? I've seen Wellingham's name mentioned, what's his contractual situation?

I've heard Carlton's Steven Browne named tossed around a bit, I think he comes out of contract this year and wants to come back to WA. He wouldn't be a bad get.

If we can't get Luke Ball, another to look at might be Jesse Smith from the Kangaroos.

Ball wont be there by pick 3. Matt Maguire is unfortunately too big a risk, Steve Brown (HBF-mid option and would complete the Warnock trade) or Jess Smith (depending on how bad his ankle is) is worth a look/chance.

Hopefully Harvey,Bond & Co. can convince Luke Ball that Freo is the place to be...he will add alot to the playing group espically when it comes to playing at M.C.G or Telstra Dome...we need his toughness.

We'll only use our PSD pick if we delist both Foster and O'Brien. Otherwise we will be passing on Pick 52 in the ND. That seems unlikely given we traded for Picks 48 and 49, and given we took those picks I can't imagine they will think the depth stops exactly at 50.

I say go for jesse smith if we get the chance but the others dont seem that appealing to me.

Also off topic a bit but is anyone else a bit annoyed now that we basically have lost Trengove (would've been our priority pick) because we won the extra game? I know we want to have a winning culture but that is a lot to miss out on for the sake of one win in a poor season anyway. I still hope he somehow makes it to 4 but it is about a 1% chance.

He is very injury prone, and would be a big risk. He used to be a great player though, so he does have the talent.
