how old is valenti?? and i think we have to try and rookie list arrowsmith good player just isn't very fast. And smouha super athletic and has so much potential just needs to work on his skills because he has only been playing football for a year.....

I spose Carlton haven't hinted at who they'd take, but i feel Richmond will take Gourdis and Carlton maybe Bellchambers...

Not sure as to who Carlton will take, but I can tell you that if they don't take Gourdis Richmond will.
Scott Welsh has also reportedly signed with Bulldogs and Carlton, Richmond and Melbourne have ruled out taking him.

I think Richmond might take Pheiffer with number 1.
Cant see us taking Sapmi now...
A mate of mine who i was in the forces with who now is a sports trainer for us stated that THEY WILL GAMBLE ON SAMPI AT PICK 3 due to maybe hes only 23 and he is very keen for a 2nd chance..
Marek down Queens bday for his return, who knows what will happen....

Which birthday are we talking about, her 90th or 100th?

But I think you're right. I'd expect us to pick Sampi at 3. BTW, what round is the Queen's birthday?

i really hope we take shane valenti... from what i've read, he sounds like another sam mitchell story...

It seems we will take Sampi, i dont think is a bad move, he can play and maybe his not fit at the moment but next season is a long way away it's more about his attitude I suppose. People seem to think why take Sampi if we have drafted Maric. Maric is 18 years old and is a few years away from impacting a game if fit Sampi will impact this year. He can play no one doubts that. There is no risk with sampi, get him on min wage one year performance based contract if its not working out no loss IMO. Potential postives far outweigh the negatives.

If we go for sampi can we rookie Valenti? Is he eligble? I reckon he will be a good player at AFL level. Can never have enough runners thru the middle.

Would still like us to pick up SAMPI,has a lot of class and davey is setting him straight.i think we passed our 72 pick to give sampi time to get to his playing weight.would fit in nicely

Wirra couldnt do that. So unless Davey has some very good tricks, I think it would only be a short term fix.

Davey coulden't do it with Pickett, so no please dont pick Sampi. He can obviously play but very erraticliy and undisplined. Go for a Kangars or Gourdis for me.

does anyone know who the guy running next to buckley is?(it doesn't look like any one on our list) is it kangars? who ever it is they must be pretty fit because they are at the front of the pack and it is a 12-14km run.

As Chris Connolly said on SEN the other day if we draft Sampi it will be for the 2009 season, in his current shape and with a restricting knee injury he just wont be fully fit next year. So no QB debut. I have no problem drafting delisted players but Sampi wasn't exactly a star anyway, all he did is take mark of the year in quite a few seasons, so I'd rather go a young tall.

With the bandage on the knee is Lynden Dunn, Miller is over Buckley's left shoulder, not sure who the guy over Buckley's right shoulder is, looks a bit like Warnock, if it is him hes muscled up.
