Plenty of options and Kerbatieh, Jeffs or Glass-McCasker wouldn't surprise.

I'd personally go
1. Snadden - Tall inside mid, coverage for Judd and Carrazzo
19. Tardrew - Accumulator off half back, Simpson replacement
37. Surman - Raw KPP and still 17 until December 7. Great intercept mark. A project with our last selection.

Small/medium forwards
: Kerbatieh, Blair
Onballers: Jeffs, G Clark, Snadden, Tardrew
Talls: Glass-McCasker, Surman, Gardner.
Rucks: Parrella, Nyuon

So how many picks will we have in the rookie draft? We currently have 38 players on the main list + Matthew Wright from Adelaide (apparently) to bring us up to 39. Which means we can have 5 x Cat. A + 3 x Cat. B rookies. Currently our Cat A. rookies would be Wood, Gowers & Sheehan (we can only have one Irish player as a Cat B.) and our Cat B. rookies: Byrne & Korcheck. That would leave us with two selections (three if we don't use our PSD pick).

Is this correct?

with gorringe kruezer wood phillips casboult korcheck do we need to go down this path? i think now we need mids. o'kearney for me

Krooz - Ruck
Phillips - Ruck #2
Cas - CHF, very part-time ruck
Wood - backup only, could be gone in as little as 12 months
Korcheck - low chance he makes it
Gorringe - seems a VERY tall winger/mid rather than ruck (like an extra tall Everitt?)

So, that leaves just Krooz and Phillips as serious ruck options @ 26yo and 24yo

I have no problem taking a skinny 18yo ruck project. The only reason I wouldn't is that it's arguably much easier/smarter to acquire a ruckman than develop one yourself....

For the last several years I would have begged to take one. However, bringing four 2m players to the club I can't see it.

If Gach or Andre were there at pick 37 then maybe but I'd focus on boosting our midfield depth (and maybe a tall defender to appease the Kieran Collins faction).

(I do like though the "draft low, sell high approach" of trading a rookie back into a top 40 pick. )

I can't see us using the PSD, just adding rookies. I am assuming 3 with Byrne as a nominated rookie from the
Cat B list. (One poster suggested that once you played a senior game, you were ineligible to stay as Cat B???)

Surely in a shallow draft, any genuine quality midfielders would have been snapped up.
I like Wright, but struggle to see what he does for us on the rookie list at 26, other than a fall back if both Lamb and Sumner don't work out.
In the absence of quality mids, Holman a chance to be re rookied, but no guarantees. Ballard from Freo a chance?
No mention of re rookieing Giles, but many of us would love to see it. (Watto - Cringle)
Speculative KPP and possibly rucks seem the best option.
Glass-McCasker (mystery why not drafted), Firns, Nyuon, Mabior Chol or Parella could have value.

I am not concerned at too many rucks, if they are quality, they will have/create trade currency for clubs seeking
more mature options. We can afford a Cat A and a Cat B developing ruck. Chol is a left field ruck/KPP who could
kill two birds with one stone.

Parsons, Crocker, O'Kearney, Snelling, Hackett, Tahana, Snaddan - Those are some solid rookie picks.

Glass-McCasker, C Moore, Surman, D Smith - These are some solid tall options.

I would not mind a combinations of Parsons, Crocker, Moore and maybe Surman.

Didn't Crocker get drafted by the Pies???
