Not sure, but was any Richmond staff a la Greg Miller on SEN today?

Wasn't in the car at the time, but it was stated that Richmond has other plans in mind before Brennan (maybe Josh Fraser? or another player in talks with the tigers) - but will not rule him out.

Don't know who said this, but one of my family members heard something along those lines.

i caught the end of the same thing on sen.. some player who is in talks with us and could end up at the tigers.. but was talking to someone at the time and missed the name.. someone please help us out..

but with his attitude and work ethic really really being questionable
he is definately a hit or miss recruit

Hear from a mate (Collingwood supporter) that Frasers contract negotiations have stalled as well. (also interesting is that Fraser turned down the chance to captain Collingwood in mid 2007). Is he the one we are chatting to?

Would we be happy picking him up? 25, can play Ruck or CHF.
 
yeah i would be happy with fraser. along with simmo would be good. can both play forward. actually would be the best psd pickup in a long time.

I'm not trolling but the tigers don't have enough cap space to lure brennan, they would need to match 1 mil over three years that was offered to Brennan by Essendon

Why? The club has 3. How many ruckmen does a football club need. Last year was extraordinary in terms of injuries when backups of backups got injured.

We have 2 frontline ruckmen (Simmonds and Pattison) Graham as the developing ruckman and Polak as the backup.

Don't fill the list with hack ruckmen. Look at Geelong - they just got rid of one of theirs.

Essendon currently have a stench about them that reminds me of Richmond in 1983. Good luck for the next 25 years.

If fraser was up in PSD then its a no-brainer. look at how much the pies missed him in the prelim....:eek: He is still reasonably young and has good 5 years in him and is definately the ingredient that will hold ruck stocks together whilst patto and gus develop..:thumbsu: He has proven that he can be a star,whereas brennan sorta rocks up one week and then comes half-hearted the next..not the sorta attitude we want at the club!!:thumbsd:
 
Considering we could have easily taken Morton in the PSD. He was a cert. and had already commited to us either way. So makes me think we also have the PSD player picked and committed so decided to do trade with WC for Morton rather than use it on him. Makes no sense otherwise..Weaver?

So you think suddenly because we locked in mcmahon on 300,000 per annum and morton on probably around 100-150,000 that we no longer have enough room for brennan? You gotta be kidding! I am pretty sure we have been using the least or 2nd least portion of our salary cap for the last few years (ie the bare minimum 92% or whatever) then take into account krak is gone and he is on a good wage, gas is gone, ray hall was on a suprisingly decent wicket, nathan brown's huge contract was slashed just a bit ago, coughlan's new contract will be performance based and much less than prior to his knee injury.

Ohh, and the fact that only a few days ago WE HAD ENOUGH ROOM TO BEAT CARLTON'S BID FOR JUDD!!! i.e we were able to pay judd 1.2 million a year at least if he slipped to the psd. Of which we have used $500,000 max thus far. Leaving us $700,000 to play with. SUCK ON THAT :D

you know these figures for a fact do you?, If Offer him a contract of 1 mil+ over three years Richmond will not be able to pick him up. Do you think Mcmahon and Morton really cost less than 500,00 put together? I would highly doubt that

If not, then we should play Adcock and Brennan against each other. We should make big enough offers to them so that Brisbane can fit only one into their salary cap but not both, and we will pounce on the one that slips out.

Which one of the 9 hitouts this year from the 192cm Brennan impressed you so much that you leapt to that conclusion? Richard Tambling got 8 and Kane Johnson 12 ... maybe they are the answer to our ruck problems :cool:

Fraser will stay with Collingwood. He is just dragging out the negotiations because he has a huge bargaining position.

If we walks the Pies have to go in with Wood and Bryan as their only 2 ruck choices. Wood might be good in time but you'd be nervous about using a kid with so little experience as a number 1 ruckman.

Fraser can basically extort Collingwood. Make them pay 30-50% more than he is worth because they simply can't let him go.

Richmond won't be able to get him, but we can certainly help him make sure that Collingwood spend more cash than they want to :D
