Just pray you don't select Guy Richards.

I'd say Guy Richards is exactly the type we will go for. I'd expect him to be considered.

24. Some experience. Ready to go if needed. Minimum wage. We'd only be looking at him to play 10 minutes here and there. Maybe 3-4 games in injury relief. And only then if Graham wasn't available.

Have Simmonds, Pattison, Graham on the main list. A ruckman on the rookie list. Richards added as the back-up to the back-ups.

Cut Richards after 2 years. Promote the rookie.

Collingwood cut Richards because he could never hope to be a number 1 ruckman and so they had to replace him with someone who might (Wood). We are looking for a back-up, which is exactly what he is.

Has Adcock signed with Brisbane yet?

If not, then we should play Adcock and Brennan against each other. We should make big enough offers to them so that Brisbane can fit only one into their salary cap but not both, and we will pounce on the one that slips out.

I'm impressed with Adcock (if he slips through to the PSD).

I'm not trolling but the tigers don't have enough cap space to lure brennan, they would need to match 1 mil over three years that was offered to Brennan by Essendon
dumbest post ever.
we are on the record as saying we could have afforded Judd, yet some ****wit essendon supporter reckons we can't afford Jared Brennan, I dare say Judd would cost a bit more:rolleyes:

fergus watt, tim walsh or jarrad brennan...all worth a thought....

cotchin over morton!

pick 18- KPP (bellchambers, mcenvoy, myers, rance)

pick 51- KPP

pick 67- neville!!!!

like this post alot

would love to snare rance at 18 have heard him compared to justin lepitsch
would probably prefer cotchin over morton but not to fussed
morton gets a bad rap on this board but believe me the kid is a gun
pick 51 i would say a ruckman or a KPP
and Neville might be an ok depth pick up but couldnt see him playing many games in reality

everyone seems obsessed by bellchambers at 18 - from what I saw at the carnival he certainly is not worth that, especially considering that would be likely to get a similarly developing ruck at 51... just because we need a ruckman doesn't mean that pick 18 is the perfect pick to use.

Surley there is no way that Adcock will fall throiugh to the PSD, the Lions would delist alot of players before him just to meet his needs. Otherwise they surely would have traded him.

Brennan probably knows that with Bradshaw back next year, Jonno Brown in full flight and Mitch Clarke developing, he would probably be struggerling to fit into that foward line in the short term with one of Charman or Luenberger resting foward aswell. T

Therefore, he would be a definite chance of falling through to the PSD.

Richards would just be a watse of our first pick. If Wallace cleans us out of our Bowdens, Tivendales, Hydes, etc. then they may be enough space for two PSD players where we could take Richards - but i doubt it

I would personally have Bellchambers going somewhere between 20-30 which means if we did pick him up at 18, it might be a little keen - this is where trading Schultz for that mid 20's pick could have paid of.

2 picks in the top 50? sheeessh

Terry Wallace must believe that our current list + next years draft picks is all we are going to need to be that magical 2011 team. Because players we draft next year will only have had 2 years in the system, by 2011

i have said this ad nauseum and agree with you,why the hell did we refuse port's offer for jay schultz.could of gone after a rance with pick 18 and another kpp with the pick for schultz

Word is an AA FB has yet to re-sign for his current club. Very very very long odds that he would go into the PSD but you never know.

Tim Walsh lol. Search for Weavers comments on him, completely shot.
Watts always looked incredibly slow to me.
Barry Brooks I would consider looking at, get him down to train at the club and see if he's any good still.

Also if we're taking 4 ND picks plus a PSD pick, that's a lot of delistings to make, given we don't have many out of contract. Don't think we can afford that, especially if we want someone half decent in the PSD. 3 ND picks at most.

I would rather Richards than Brooks and i would like Richards as much as a kick to the head. Brooks is a terrible footballer, who should never be considered for a place in a Richmond jumper.

People on this board are always having digs about our kicking skills, so it makes me wonder why so many people want Neville. He gets the ball often, but he makes the likes of JON, McGuane and Bowden's kicking skills look as good as McLeods. He simply throws the ball on his boot and hopes for the best. At one point this year i felt we should look at Silvester but after his last 4-5 weeks of last year, i have come to the realisation that he is too slow to play at full back. If we are to go for a coburg guy as a late pick or rookie, i hope we target Logan Hill or maybe even Joe Gazzo. I like Shelton also, but fear he may be too old to make him worthy of a pick (He was Coburg's B and F winner).

what is Richmonds status with Danny Meyer, have the hawks offered him a contract and is it realistic we can get him in the PSD?

not sure where things stand with meyer. if he wants to leave then you will probably have no trouble picking him up. i for one hope he stays. plenty of talent just needs to put his head down and work.

Dreamland, but Josh Fraser is exactly the player we need. He comes for free, is in the age bracket of a ruckman we lack and comes straight into our top 22.

Our ruck situation immediately looks better. Come 2008:

Simmonds: 30 years old
Fraser: 26 years old
Pattison: 22 years old
Graham: 20 years old

Add in another rookie ruck and bam. That leaves pick 2 for cotchin/morton and pick 18 for KP Defender.

Get into his ear Miller. Do it now.

Mail has it that Neville will end up at either Adelaide or Melbourne.
Would be a shame to see him slip through to either of those when he has been playing so well in our own backyard. Understand there are question marks over his disposal...but surely that is something he can work on if he were to become a fulltime footballer. Flat out, the guy knows how to find the pill

No to Neville. He would be much worse than Howat at AFL level.

Rubbish. Let me guess, you're concerned about his kicking? Did you watch him earlier in the season when his kicking was just fine? Did you watch him carve up WA in the state game? Great size, moves pretty well, finds a ton of the ball. Too many people just watched him on tv in the finals when his kicking dropped right off and that's all they've got to judge him on.

Howat is a nothing more than a worse version of Tivendale.

Neville is a gub in the VFL, Howatt isn't.
So how could Howat be better at AFL level, Howat won't be with us next year, don't listen to madtigers ramblings that he is in our best team.
He isn't, he is useless
