I will be getting NBA 2K9 on the PS3 this year, and I figure seen as though quite a few in this thread have had NBA 2K8, we may be able to do some kind of league or something. As long as we have dedicated players, it should be fun!

Yeah mine does exactly the same thing. It's pretty irritating. If you wanted to stop it, rather than deleting all of your friends, just log out of the PS3 network when you're playing it.
