Really want to get a DS of some sort. I'm on buses a lot and enjoy Mario games + things like Scribblenauts look really interesting.
Can anyone summarise the differences between a DS Lite and a DSi? Is it worth forking out the little bit extra for a DSi?

I own both PSP and a DS Lite, they're both equal in my opinion (that doesn't help), I use the PSP for homebrew, emulators and playing PS1 games (AFL 99!!!), and with the DS I have an Acekard 2 and just cram that with every game that comes out which I might enjoy.
