The overwhelming message is that religious cults don't solve crimes, they usually commit them.

The Luna Cinema in Leederville had a showing of this film in Perth a last year, together with a Q&A session with one of the survivors of the Anne Hamilton-Borne cult
https://cinemaaustralia.com.au/2017/03/14/cult-survivor-to-join-the-family-qa-in-perth/
"For years on a property outside Melbourne, Anne Hamilton-Byrne ruled over The Family, a cult that the glamorous guru grew around her by convincing people that she was a literal god. Hamilton-Byrne conned her followers into handing over their assets, property and especially children into her control. When the cult was finally busted in 1987, Hamilton-Byrne escaped overseas, leaving abused children and devotees in her wake. The Family documents the journeys of the cult’s survivors, and whether they will achieve any kind of justice against their mesmeric yet cruel captor."

An exorcism of Evil Spirits in Claremont Western Australia by an Anglican Bishop?
Apparently, no one would live in the house again. I wonder what happened to it, or how long that lasted?
It must've been quite infamous, because articles appeared in every newspaper across Australia. I wonder if it was published overseas also?

13 Sep 1952 - SPIRITS ARE OFTEN CHASED FROM PERTH HOMES - Mirror (Perth, WA : 1921 - 1956) http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article75785040 via @TroveAustralia

Claremont, hmm... I wonder if that turned into some sort of urban legend, which drew in the likes of Noel G Coward into framing his infamously outlandish "Satan worshippers abductions of girls for snuff movies" theory on the Claremont Serial Killings?
I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same house in the alleged "Claremont Ghost" YouTube videos either.

Apparently, the exorcism of "Evil Spirits" at the house in Claremont didn't work....

Unsurprisingly, I note that the letters to the editor to the newspapers in trove's archives at the time from Claremont locals roundly condemned the actions of the Anglican clergymen as "superstitious medieval nonsense".

Apparently, the Ghost house is not more than 100 yards from the back entrance to Karrakatta Cemetery. So it's probably a street or so back from Government Rd.

Here is a letter to the newspaper written by the house occupiers, prior to the exorcism.

WA appears to have a solid history with the paranormal, not sure I've seen quite so much out of the other states.

To follow on from this, here's screen shots of a "Post Comment" by Bret Christian in The Post Newspaper. I no longer have the link so not entirely sure of the date but I presume it comes from the 30/7/2005 edition based on the following screen shot from a letter written in response to It.

I can only wonder the possibility here that since early colonisation, stories that aboriginal legends that an evil spirit inhabited the Claremont area, then later that people were scared out of a house, leading to a Bishop of the Anglican Church having to intervene by performing an exorcism, then leading to locals believing it hadn't worked, let alone the presence of Karrakatta cemetery, a mental asylum, and a hospice for the dying all being in the Claremont area with their own stories of hauntings and spooky legends, add to that, a detective who talked about devil worshippers being a distraction during the Pamela Lawrence investigation, the scene must've been set for some people to be ready to believe that the Claremont Serial Killings were related to paranormal entities, such that a demon hunting police Padre was readily allowed by the Macro Task Force to be involved in the investigation in some way. It all seems weird, but in hindsight it appears that a potential for mass hysteria in blaming something paranormal was building in the community. When 2 of the girls were linked via a Catholic school, it obviously set it off IMO.

"Within a 100 yards of the back entrance to Karrakatta Cemetery"

The warehouse where the weird diagrams and jewellery was reported in the Post Newspaper was found is closer to the back entrance of Karrakatta Cemetery, than the haunted house BTW.

Psychic Scott Russell Hill wrote in 2006:

“Firstly I felt that a gang of four to five people was preying on young women not only in Claremont but elsewhere in Perth too. I felt that while a man led the gang, one of its members was a woman.

Because of some dysfunctional love, this woman would do anything that was asked of her so that she'd gain her partners affection or approval.

All these people were capable of being violent on their own, or in a premeditated attack.

The energy of these people goes back to the late 1980's or early 1990's.

They've know each other for a while and would now be in their thirties or forties. a couple of the gang members will not have proper alibis.

One of the gang will be a taxi driver, and he and the other people are, or we're most likely based in and around Freemantle. One of them lived not too far from where a body was found in that area.

These people have laid low while police investigations continued, and since then they've been preying on lesser known people such as drug addicts and prostututes....

Secondly there is an energy (separate to the gang) of at least three other men who preyed on women in the Claremont area, working individually without knowledge of the identity of each other. There is a strong sense that all these persons have come under police notice or scrutiny, and continue to be.”

Referenced in an early BF thread on a high profile Perth serial killing investigation.

Reads similar to Droc's story.
It is Droc's story. Nothing psychic, about it at all IMO. He simply rehashed stuff that he read on the internet, and in Deb Marshall's book expecting all these leads to be "on the money" and repackaged it as a great piece of psychic sleuthing, so he could claim credit when someone got arrested. He was simply betting on the wrong horse.

He didnt get his info from Deb Marshalls book, that was released after his.
Do you have a copy of anything the Sunday Times published originally when Noel spoke to them in the early days? Im not sure how much he'd actually said freely that was available on the net prior to his book. That seems to have come much later?
