Seems to be very much out of fashion these days for both males and females.

Personally I wouldn't consider shaving or waxing and I quite like a nice bush on a girl, but I feel im in the minority.

I don't see why. The face is often the number 1 physical determinant of attraction.

I've seen your statement a few times now and it makes no sense to me. Women usually shave their legs and armpits too and no one associates that with trying to look like a child. Same with men and their faces, chest, etc.

My partner shaved his chest once. Once. It was awful and scratchy and he's not even very hairy

This times 5 when it comes to shaved vag, like a cross between sandpaper and the rough bit of velcro.
As I mentioned in my OP I prefer au natural but bald is ok as long as its waxed/IPLd off.

Sometimes it can be a religious or cultural requirement which is another conversation but not in western. If a guy insisted on a complete shave (I do go full Brazillian when I sail and want to wear a thong) I'd flick him.
