The last time I went there was for a Bowie tribute night. It's a decent pub.

I cycled past the Retreat yesterday and there was a bloke sitting at the tables on the pavement with a goat on a leash.

I suppose I'm spoilt for choice living in Brunswick but I still miss the pubs back home in Ireland. You just don't get the same miniature pubs full of lunatics and random musicians here.

I remember being asked to play cards with a group of old irisih men in a pub in ireland once. I couldn't understand a word any of them said but I did appreciate the uniqueness of the situation. Very different to here.

Peacock in Northcote is good. Go there on a Thursday arvo for happy hour, decent meals, beer garden, jukebox and pool.
