We've moved on from salted caramel

little place off lygon near la mama sells these tiny pulled pork burgers with no fries for like $14... crazy delicious tho.

Places seems to stuff it up pretty easily, and it is dry.

That's my point...the roll I had at Vic Market was GAGF on the first bite...may as well have been chewing my shoe.

So is it cooked like on a Webber or in one of those oven bags...and how does a Pizza Shop fast food franchise get Pulled Pork?

When I've made it I usually throw it in a casserole dish with some tomatoes/spices etc and put it in the oven on a low temp (160) for most of the day. It's just a slab of meat that's been slow cooked for ages so falls apart really easily. I'm not sure how people could **** it up. It seems to be among the latest fads in food. Dominoes probably just has packaged stuff; I doubt they'd be making it on site. Done well it is amazing and is cheap, easy and feeds plenty.

...ah, Slow Cooker. Got it.

It's pretty good, but the prices when you buy it at a restaurant or whatever are taking the piss.

I'm an average cook at best, but it's hard to stuff up slow cooked meat. You can slow cook a whole shoulder of pork on a Sunday afternoon for the price of two burgers, and you've got a week's worth of lunches.

It's definitely in trend at the moment.

Pulled pork sliders are, I'd bet, one of the more popular choices at burger places and the like at present. Slaw seems to be the most common accompaniment.

Caesar is right though, it's not hard to make yourself and, as is usually the case with trending foods, it is very expensive when bought out as opposed to prepared at home.

.

The slaw I had with the Vic Market roll was pure filth...one of the fe occasions I can remember where I have taken a bite of something and thought wtf have I done?

Slow cooked beef brisket is one of my other favourites. Chilli and lemongrass, bit of coriander, glass vermicelli - great cold lunch.
Mighty Quinn's in New York did the best smoked beef brisket I've ever tasted.

Just melted in your mouth.
