Now I’m not drinking the coolaid and saying we are finals bound but if this is the first brick of the rebuild, I’m excited to see what the finished product looked like. The first year kids played really well but let’s all take a deep breath and see how it goes, as it’s early days.

Armstrongs efforts being underrated because he doesn’t get the touches the other guys do. Amazing physical presence for an 18 year old.

That bump pick up and pinpoint pass to Bauer in the goal square was sublime

Great game well done Adem fantastic turn around from last year

Even when we were 41 pts down early in the game the supporters at the punt road end were calm because we were already witnessing the new structure developing.

Back line did an amazing job under early duress and especially midway in the 4th quarter when the ball was camped in our defensive half.

For those Tiger supporters who drove to the game but especially drove home I do not know how the electrical system of my car and your cars did not short circuit due to the amount of Carltoon tears emanating through the radio after the match, it was a joy to hear.

Two things to note

First,
It is official our long rebuild is over

Second,

A lot of people wanted Dusty Martin to hand over the jumper to Sam Lalor but what a great choice for Trent Cotchin to do the honours. Incidentally he got a great cheer at the ground when the camera caught him in the crowd

But my second point is this is it even possible for Dustin to have completed such a task of handing the jumper over to Sam.

After watching the game the only question I have is,

has Dusty and Sam Lalor ever been seen in the same room together or a photo of them together

because I swear he was playing out there tonight or someone that moved like him, marked like him, positioned himself like him, got to the ball like him, kicked the game breaking goal like him broke tackles like him and was pure silk in heavy traffic like him.

Just wait until we let loose our other young bull in Smillie out on the field, one bull rampaging in the paddock dangerous, two, well good luck to the oppos.

That driving tackle by McIntosh on Cripps late in the 3rd in our forward pocket was reminiscent of Townsend's driving tackle on Crouch in the 2017 GF. It was in the exact same pocket too

What a way to make a statement! And how good was the boys getting stuck into Cripps. The young cubs didn’t take a backward step tonight. So proud

I thought long rebuild a head but if the other kids we drafted are half as good we are in good hands.
Only negative is no number 1 pick incoming unless norf farke up lol I predicted 5 wins for the season and I sure as hell didn't include this game.

Being beaten by Cripps isn’t really something to be ashamed of, especially if youve never played in the guts before. Kmac had a good game.

Macca was part of a fantastic team effort. I’m not a fan of him taking midfield minutes in 2025, but tonight is not the night to criticise any of our players given the effort the entire team put in that hasn’t been part of our game for years.
