What a winnn! The kids stepped up massively today. Ross, Trainor (that smother), Lalor (need I say anything?), that Armstrong assist. Dow played dantastic, and McIntosh proved everyone wrong, as did Miller who was fantastic (funny, all the players people were upset about). One of the greatest upsets and comebacks in our history.

I want to temper expectations on Lalor and I hate the Dusty comparisons because he deserves his own career and identity.

But **** me his class with hands in traffic is elite for a kid so young.
I’d rather see that in his first season than flashy don’t argues.

So many times he was clean and composed and set up a heap of goals. Felt like he had 5+ goal involvements let alone score involvements.

All I ask is the fan base don’t go full nuffie on him and enjoy his rise for what it is

Michaels your guess PommyInAus gave us the blueprint for how to beat the, Pressure and grind away. I can' believe such a young team had so much discipline and composure to do exactly that.

On the team.
The 3 debutants did well. Lalor brilliant. Loved Trainor as he game went on - great body positioning and footy smarts. Armstrong did well, but needs time.


Ross, Nank, TT, Hopps, Vlas did relaly well - our older brigade. KMac was awesome. Reinventing him as a ruck/tagger looks great. Lynch did his job and got better as the game went on.

The emerging players looked pretty good. I suspect we'll have a group of about 6+ players who step from maybe to AFL quality this year.

Ooze's coaching was smart after the first 35-40 minutes.

Bloody awesome win. SO stoked!!




Carlton should have won. But they were pressured into missing easy shots and dropping marks. It'll be a long year for them. Even with support from the umpires in the last quarter they looked like the immature team, and we looked mature. Could be a tasty sideline watching the Blues do an Essendon this year.

He absolutely nailed the method to beat them!

And that’s what I think doing shows like that are worth while!
