All I want to see now is the players just keep progressing. Gamestyle still needs work, when we go we look good but early on we were very timid. And turnovers early were hurtful.

2 of my favourite moments from last night outside the obvious:

- Armstrong having his name called and not taking a backward step. In fact it looked like he enjoyed having the opportunity to line someone up.

- In the third quarter Trainor made a bad mistake losing the handle on the ball around our 50 and Carlton whisked it up the other end. ~20 seconds later he was the one earning a free kick in our D50. Must've been a 120m sprint. Great that he didn't drop his head after an embarrassing error.

Well that was a fun game.

Positives:
Miller. Left his man and impacted marking contests right from the start, and monstered the Carlton FF when Blight went off.
Dow. Game high 9 Tackles, 11cp's, 22 disposals and won or neutralised plenty of crucial hard ball moments.
Nank. Typical warrior game.
Ross. Got his Mid/Forward role and played a great game.
Dust..Lalor. Oozes poise, class and strength.
The rest mostly impacted and did their jobs.
76 tackles and massive pressure after 1/4 time.
We won clearance vs one of the best clearance teams in the comp.
Richmond fans get to give it to Carlton fans for months.

Negatives:
We lost -20 CP's
We lost I50's 65-40, and scoring shots 24-17, if they kick straight we probably lose but would have still been a good start.

Still grinning. What a f***ing night. The best home & away win in our history. Paying over $10 against a traditional rival who consider themselves premiership fancies. Down by 40 odd points early in the game. A 100+ point blowout and no wins for the season looking like a real possibility. To not only contain the margin, but to pull it back and thoroughly outplay them for the rest of the game and grind out a result is an unbelievable effort.

And Sammy f***ing Lalor. Dusty reborn.

That was beautiful to watch. But the Blues player who got lapped was Cowan. Mansell disposing of Weitering like he was putting the trash out in that play was absolutely superb as well.
