Really pleased with the games of the 3 debutants plus a few of the under appreciated players like McIntosh Dow Ross Brown & Miller.

Blight was impressive before being the sub due to groin tightness.

McIntosh as a defensive midfielder might just be a smart move. Has the tank and discipline to stick to a run with role as well as the smarts to get into the right spot as a get out option/ defensive support in D50.

Dow as a winger wasn't world beat by any means, but he did have some important moments where his hands in close and pressure excelled.

Miller really stood up when Blight went off and positioned himself well to be able to impact the game when needed.

Ross back as a inside midfielder made a difference to his ability to impact the game. Won't be expecting 27 & 2 every week though.

Lalor had a lot of Dusty type moments where he just willed himself to win the contest.

Armstrong won't die wondering when it comes to the contest. His attack on the ball and opponent was impressive for a debut.

Trainor looks like a 200 game player already. Will only improve from here. His calmness under pressure late was amazing.

Not sure why Ross gets under appreciated, he’s a natural mid that reg finds the footy and a good user , more valuable mid time and the better we will be for it . Played golf with a bloke that knew family well said swans had a fair crack at him last time out of contract as they’d followed him thru juniors , he loves the tigers wanted to stick , good on him coz he’s done it the hard way

He was actually a reasonably good commentator on the coverage, didn't try and be a shock jock and was balanced.

Very true, it almost felt like last year the majority of our best 22 were all still Dimma’s boys, and fair enough
They had only ever had him as a coach and he had helped them achieve greatness

But so far this year it seems the players are a lot more invested in Yze and especially for our young players as both the players and Yze as an individual grow together that bond will form

But I also feel that the buy in to the plan from the likes of Nank, Broad, ect is completely galvanised and they understand even if they aren’t around to see the fruits of it how they conduct themselves will set the example for the cubs to follow

Don’t quite agree, he helped him become a more rounded player

Without his experience of the wing Ross wouldn’t be as effective as he is on the outside that complements his inside game

He played as a outside mid on Thursday night and that is essentially the same as the wing in terms of providing outlet running

Probably turned him from a 20 possie a game player to a 25+

It’s also what has helped him become more of a threat when the stoppage at half forward that resulted in those goals he kicked
